Spraying Fruit Trees & Planting Peppers! Garden Answer Donna: Hi Laura! In a video from last year I think, you fertilized your seedlings with Espoma Grow! All Purpose Plant Food. Today, you are using the Bloom! At this point in the season, is there really a big difference which one I use for vegetable and flower seedlings? Of course, I already bought the All Purpose so I'm hoping you will say there is no difference. :) Also, since we are all living vicariously through you, how is it coming with our fountain? There was one I saw on your day out with Aaron, wondering if you saw it? I have a small solar fountain and there is nothing quite like the sound of bubbling water as you sit on the patio or work in the yard. Cannot wait to see what you are putting in our new flower beds!

I'm loving my new Dewalt sprayer. I've spent so much money on inferior sprayers over the years, how did I not know Dewalt made more than power tools? I don't have fruit trees but I did use dormant oil on a small(-ish compared to the huge oak that was next to it that had to come down) tree that had something chewing holes in all the leaves last year. I had to use a step ladder and my husband as spotter to spray all the way to the top. Next time I'm only filling mine to 1 gallon as 2 gallons is a bit heavy for me.

Those clouds are incredible! I'm loving how the planting cycle is getting going for you. We are in a subtropical climate, and I don't do a whole lot during summer (checking in from down under, except water enough to keep things alive and minor adjustments. But I have been getting seeds started for the next growing season ( we sort of have 2 growing seasons here, so I'm keeping time with you and watching you get going has energised and motivated me after being sick during January. Thank you!

Im far from an expert dealing with trees. But if youre special little Tree is doing well where its at maybe you should leave it there and just start a new one against the fence. I was going to move a pear tree one year and within just that one or two years and have been growing there the taproot of it had grown so deep I knew that I would kill it if I had dug any deeper so I left it there and now its doing just fine.

PSA: Just because you see someone you like and listen to doing something doesn't mean it's safe. Please do your OWN research on using organic pesticides and fungicides. Copper is one that is even allowed in organic gardening, but that doesn't make it safe. Copper toxicity is a real health issue and undiagnosed in many. Again, please do research before using chemicals.

I heard that you didn't care much for the tree with the sore. Maybe you can take a cutting and replant the cutting. Perhaps you'll be able to save part of it and the new cutting may surprise you and gibe vetter tasting fruit. If all else fails, maybe a donation to a farmer that has animals that would enjoy the fruit. God's Blessings on your decision!

I was happy to see that I am not the only one that has some growth from last year to clean up. I am in Kansas and excited for Spring I have Fig tree that I take out during the summer and it is currently budding with leaves and just saw it has 12 figs already growing. This will be my third season for my Fig tree and I love it so much!

Sometimes I can hear the heater, other times I cant. I think its a case of younger people being able to hear the higher pitch. Thankfully, my older ears usually dont. until you mentioned it, I couldnt/didnt hear it, and I did in one video where it was really loud, but thats it. I couldnt hear it in this one either.

On the perspective of asking viewers to like, I think it's acceptable. However, y'all are so established now that it may not be necessary. To me, it's unsofisticated to ask, yet vlogers far less seasoned than y'all ask & get rewarded with thumbs up. Personally I think either way is fine. IMHO.

Thanks Laura! For the past couple of seasons Ive been hanging out for a pruning tutorial on the espalier pear. Any chance you could show one this year?
Ive been trying to espalier a lemon tree for a few years but my fruit set is just really poor. Maybe something to do with my pruning!
