Beautiful Front Yard Gardens Part 2! Garden Answer rose: all beautiful gardens but crape myrtles are one of my favorites I have them (zone 5/6) sometimes they tops survive sometimes they dont, the red rocket I have are protected each year because they re next to my little gem, magnolia which I have to protect/heat. I have a lavender crape myrtle the bloomed very pretty last summer, I have pictures but dont know how to send them to you. love garden ideas I have work to do this summer on my rose bed which is looking a bit off not as nice as when I first put it in, my chickens did alot of damage/help (they killed alot of pests and my roses have never bloomed so beautiful before I got chickens) but a little sprucing will hopfully make it better. I have to remove a couple that are not doing well or blocking my other roses, i crammed to many into the space. live and learn. my peach tree is the central theme in my rose bed. the fruit was delicious last year.

We too have a faded yellow color on our home, it was the color of my husbands favorite shirt with a dark blue-black shutters. This video has given me so many ideas and inspiration! In the summer of 2019 my husband and I took a road trip from Central NY to Acadia National Park in Maine and on to Prince Edward Island! It was amazing! If you get an opportunity check out Aiken House and Garden blog! The homes and landscape of PEI are so picturesque, as well as all the beautiful Anne of Green Gables spots! I hope that you get an opportunity to go there! We would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks looking forward to putting some more unique touches to my own front yard this summer!

I would be totally fascinated walking by a front yard garden. Someone in our city had sunflowers in their front yard, but the city made him cut them down because they said it was a weed or flower over two feet. Phooey.
It drives me crazy when people treat plants like clutter rather than cleaners/filter/architecture and support, move in and cut down everything in the yard, and don't replace it because they think it's cleaned up and minimalist to maintain. Urban expectations from neighborhood's that were made so people could have a little nature and animals in the suburbs. Sigh.

We went to PEI a number of decades ago soon after the series on Anne was shown on TV took our teenage daughter and her friend. The whole island is fantastic and unique and beautiful, of course we went in the Summer and had to take a ferry overnight to Nova Scotia drive across that island for 6 plus hours then a smaller ferry to PEI. Would love to do it again. We stayed in a little cabin that was south facing right on the ocean and cornfield practically up to the back door. You have to go. The people were so friendly.

Hi Laura, you mentioned your bad luck with lupines. Just wanted to let you know that theres actually a lupine thats more of a desert plant which is (Im pretty sure) native to your area, Lupinus argenteus. Its not quite as prolific in flower as the garden lupines but its similar looking! Ive seen seed for it from a couple of native seed nurseries online and you might be able to get plants from specialty growers in your area since youre in its range. Thanks for your great videos!

Beautiful designs and great inspiration to see other gardens. Is there any reason why submissions from Florida are scarce? I moved from NJ six months ago to Tampa Bay Area, zone 9b. I am having difficulties to find proven winners plants. I have visited several garden centers in the area. A friend explained me that the season to find and plant petunias starts on the Fall because the summer is too hot. Any advice?

Such beauty to be shared. I love your enthusiasm and your encouraging words. You could be a motivational speaker. Well really you are. You motivate us each and every day with your talents and love of gardening. You are such a treasure to the gardening world. My favorite response to someone who asks me a gardening question is 'Oh, have you seen Laura and Aaron on Garden Answer? '

Im so new to gardening we moved into our new home back in august if 2021 an Ive taken pictures of my yard an have multiple lay out ideas. I think cost is my biggest issue because plants seem so expensive I hope I can make it look nice on a tight budget. I did find two overgrown small flower beds ab paver walkway that Ill be turning into a patio for my gazebo

Absolutely stunning and inspiring gardens. I live in Texas, within the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex. I've been watching your videos for inspiration and suggestions for landscaping my full sun front yard. I'm learning so much and would love a low maintenance colorful garden. Any suggestions are welcomed!
