Sweet peas are one of the most challenging things in my z9b garden because of how sensitive they are to heat but still require longer day length.
I found a variety that blooms under lower daylight hours. And wouldn't you figure, my strawflowers finally got their growing on and took up all the space I had to test the sweet peas I would have not pegged strawflowers for being a winter plant, but I've had beautiful strawflowers since end of December and not enough time to get sweet peas going

I’ve got some sweet peas I started in January. I’ve got them on a bright western window sill in a cooler part of our house, but I’ve been hesitant to put them outside when our nighttime temperatures have been dropping into the teens. Would you recommend keeping them inside until temps rise consistently to the 20’s or putting them outside and bringing them in if it’s in the teens Or just putting them outside period Thanks!

This is a great idea Danielle. I live two hours away from you so can’t join in but I have bought flower starts from a local flower farm before and did it again this winter. The past two years she has two color palettes you can choose from. They were healthy starts and did great in my garden. When you don’t have a place to start seeds yourself this works well and supports local. Good luck!

Great information, thank you! It would be much appreciated if you would offer resource(s) for your root training seed trays for sweet peas. It looks like yours come apart for easy plant removal, is that correct Thanks for great garden inspo during a very tough winter (says the gal who relocted from zone 7 to zone 5 for one of the worst winters on record.

Loved your informative video. I bought 2 ranunculus plants 2 yrs ago, and last year tried to grow from corms with no luck. Haven't been able to get lisanthus, 1st year going to try to grow some sweet peas. Are theyre any special places you get your seeds, corms, bulbs and others Can you please make a video on that, of places with good seeds

Hey Daniel! I’m growing eucalyptus for my daughter’s wedding. She lives 5. 5 hours away. Can you tell me what would be the best thing to do with the eucalyptus Should I dry it before or would it transport well and last 3 days I’ve never grown it before. Thank you for your help! Deanna gardensglory

Great video! Am also thinking about adding plants to our stand. Can you tell us a bit more about selling potted plants (did you propagate them; how much are you selling for) And do you put the sweet peas under lights before you put them out Thanks so much for your informative and inspirational videos!

I think this was a great idea! I need something in dry shade garden under walnuts. I have artemesia limelight there and it's good for filler. Use it every year. but lamium has taken the whole thing over and it needs ripped out. I wonder if helebores would do well there. Your pots were gorgeous! Hi Grace!

I am in Lancaster County, PA which I think is pretty close to where you are as well. This is my first year trying sweet peas. I am hoping to have blooms in time for my daughter's 5/31 wedding. How cold do you allow your outdoor sweet peas starts to get overnight without protection

You have inspired me to plant more flowers this year. I usually grow veg but we have so many farms for purchasing veg and I think flowers will bring me more joy so I'm turning a couple of my beds over to flowers. I'll be referencing many of your older videos for help!

You mentioned in a video last year that you be saving your ranunculus corms to replant this year. Are you still planning on doing that or did you purchase all new this season Are the hellebore from your yard or did you purchase plugs of those as well

Ahhhh, now I understand what I did wrong last year with sweet peas. I grew them under lights and under a heat vent. Poor babies. I'll have to try again because they are so beautiful! Thank you Danielle and the helebores looked beautiful!

Here in Germany I used to sell potted plants successfully in a trust stand at our main street.
But life here is changing unfortunately.
Sadly money and plants were stolen last year and I have to think of other opportunities.

I started my sweet peas as well! First year of growing for me. .. soooo excited! I thought I read that they like a cool, dark place to germinate. .. anyway they did germinate and now are sitting in a cool window. xoxo
