Danielle, So great to see someone using penstemons in their garden as they really are such great tall and attractive fillers. and a bit smaller than salvias.
Astlbles don't flower so long but penstemon keep on going.
I have a lovely variety called stapleford gem. It has opalescent flowers of light pink and blue with white. I've taken some cuttings and they've all taken in Fall, can you believe
Have you had success with a border perenial called Ajuga
It might be a good front filler and the pink flowering ajuga would fit in nicely with your colour combinations.
Looking best of all this season. Loving your changes. Jo. New Zealand Winter is coming quick!

Climbing hydrangeas are very slow growers. I have two in my garden, one is in a part-sun area and it is so slow. Four years and it is only about 1 foot high. I planted another in a full shade corner of the house, and it is growing much faster to my surprise. It is about 3 feet tall and has budded up this year. I used to live in Halifax Nova Scotia where climbing hydrangeas do magnificently in that maritime climate. They take 5 years until they flower, but then they take off and grow much faster, I have seen some that are 30 feet tall, completely covering the side of a house. Absolutely gorgeous and worth the wait.

Hi Danielle, thank you for touching on that. It’s hard to stay on budget. I have already spent hundreds on plant additions and it doesn’t look like Iv made much of a dent in terms of plants. I think personally I am going to focus on evergreen structure or even small shrubs then fill in. Your gardens look great though! I hear on our preference changing. As I am moving things around in the garden my focus is shifting too and I am tending to gravitate towards my shade garden with lots of ground covers. Thanks!

Love that peachy color of the ranunculus. Everything is looking so healthy and lush. My Haas Halo is looking very sad compared to your beautiful one. I started with 4 of them, and now only one has survived. The others succumbed when we had a very wet winter a couple of years ago. I replanted the one surviving bush so that it is in better draining soil, but it has drooping yellow leaves with very small flower heads. I'm not sure what to do about it. Any suggestions

I am putting those branching smaller lillies on my list! I really like what you said at the end of the video about an area that wasn't a favorite at first and then coming into its own later. I am experiencing that in my own garden with a bed where a baptisia is now grown enough to provide shade to a nearby hydrangea that was baking in the late afternoon sun. Tucked in some geums and let some nigella self seed and I love this little section now!

Danielle the garden is beautiful, I planted 32 Bolero Roses open the palest blush pink that fade to white in my white garden. They are English style blooms prolific bloomers with a strong rose lemon scent. Check those out, I would ditch the knockouts, my opinion. And don’t waste money buying those Penstemon they are easy to grow from tip cuttings. Just tip cut and stick in moist compost will root in 4-6 weeks all free.

I enjoyed today’s garden tour and love how everything comes together down to the feverfew filling in small spaces. Everything is lush and obviously enjoyed by the song birds!
I think you’ve helped me decide to choose a hydrangea for a bare spot in our front yard! Now to choose which variety and color
Love the snap dragon! And you grew it from seed! Everything is just beautiful!

That was a wonderful garden walk, as always! I have a question about your serviceberry: does it ever get rust
I planted one 2 years ago and so far after it flowers its fruit gets covered in rust! I read that it could be pre-treated in early spring, so I may start doing that. For reference, I garden in East TN, zone 8a. Thanks so much for sharing your garden!

Your keyhole garden is so soft and inviting. I personally like your choice of roses. It gives a lovely contrast without being too bold. I am a pastel gardener but I love some accents in the garden. I think your accent roses are a great balance to the soft colors around it. But that's me. Let your loves be reflected in your garden. Big hugs

Danielle, I know it has been said before, but I wanted to reiterate how much I appreciate your slow camera pan. It's so much more relaxing to watch! One of these days I will get to your flower stand. I live about 2 hrs away, but one of my daughters lives in Marietta so I could surprise her with one of your bouquets!

You are a short way away from where I live and I love getting ideas from you for my garden. I had a honeysuckle growing up a trellis and I forgot that I actually planted it last year based on your gardening. It’s settling in really well.

Hi Danielle. Your Ranunculus are beautiful. So you found that growing them from seed is worth it. How much trouble were they I agree that your driveway garden is the nicest at this time anyway. Gorgeous! I love your self seeded areas too.

Hi Danielle, it’s always so inspiring and soothing to watch your garden tours. One quick question- do you ever have any problems or concerns about your cat being near the lillies I recently got a kitten and I’m a little worried.

Beautiful garden walk, thank you for sharing. I just pulled out my lilies as I was tired of fighting the red lily beetle and I have red fungal spots on my penstemon. Do you deal with any of these issues and if so how Thanks

Picture a creamy butter yellow rose in front of those invincibelle spirit hydrangeas rather than the hot pink. Would mix beautifully with the pink of the hydrangea and the purple of the catmint in that area.
