Great kit Shawn. My brother and I are headed out the first week of May as well and we'll be looking for those brookies too. I'm taking my fly rod as well - not sure if I'll bring a spinning rod. I started using dry flies last year and found that was a ton of fun so I'm looking forward to trying that out in Algonquin. Have a great trip.

Not sure if you also tie flies Shawn but if you do I have a bunch of parrots that supply me with lots of feathers from 1/2 inch to 18 inches long of all natural colours. Not trying to sell them but if you have a need of feathers [many different colours] let me know. Keep the vids coming! Ta.

you can make the larger lures fit into the smaller tackle box you have by snipping out part of the walls perpendicular to the rest of them, removing that little square which will then form a horizontal space in which the longer lures will fit across the others.

Nice kit, great info. I'd love to see a video about casting, reeling/jigging, etc. techniques. We've been backcountry tripping in Algonquin for a few years, but we're not very successful. We use similar lures to what you have, so we must be doing something wrong. Thanks.

Very helpful video.
The orange raps at the end, are they floating? I was on a trip in Eastern Ontario, not thing was biting, then my buddy tried one of the floating orange raps, and it was fish on!
I'll be waiting for your trip video. Have fun and be safe. :)

Thanks for the info. Hope to cross paths with you in a few weeks. I've never been in the park that early, but planning to go with my son for a few days. We'll keep an eye on the forecast.
Looking forward to your upcoming video. Enjoy your trip.

Good luck. Looking forward to your videos. I totally mapped out your three day Killarney trip. Planning to do it in middle of September. Any advice you can give me on the late-season there? Thanks for sharing you knowledge.

Hey Shawn, I was thinking, with those x-raps, you could probably get one of those travel toothbrush holders and slip one or two of them in there!
