Okay, I had not watched this video before, and I found it interesting.
I would say that you are very skilled, and naturally adept at spending time in the wilderness.
Anyway. Was this something that you sent to the (type descriptive and irreverent adjective here) producers who produce Alone?
My audition tape would have basically started off with me telling the producers that I really hate their show, and I think that it is highly edited, and one step above fake, but that I would like to go on the show just so I can win the money, and for no other reason. No tear jerker stories, none of that crap, just want the money, and to prove that I could do it.
Then I could become one of the Un-Reality Show Non-Celebrities, and people would buy knives that I design, and ask for my autograph at places like the Blade and Shot Show!
Wow, I could be the next Survivorman, or Bear Grylls, think of the possibilities. LOL
By the way, I meant to tell you before, but I really like your series with your buddy Jeremy, as it is much more real, and educational than Alone.
I actually watch all of your videos, but don't really ever watch Alone, just bits and pieces here and there, until it bores me to death!
In my area, walking through a meadow like you did in this video, would require caution due to the possibility of ambush predators like rattlesnakes, and possibly cottonmouths that hide in the brush.
I have had to do this before, and I have to go slow, and probe the area ahead of me with a walking stick.
Of course snake boots would help.
When we actually get to the river we need to watch out for Alligators that wait just beneath the surface for unsuspecting prey to come down for a drink.
Humans are not their normal prey, but there have been attacks where humans were killed.
Alligators, and the Saltwater Crocodiles that live in brackish and salt water, both prefer four legged creatures like dogs, deer, racoon, possum, turtles, frogs, and of course two legged wading birds, or ducks, and finally, just like you. fish!
Oh, did I mention the Bull Sharks that come up some of the rivers to give birth to their young?

This is one of my favourite videos of you!
I love that place, wherever it is.
I've a similar experience about going fishing within Toronto city limits, and in the photos it looks like I'm out somewhere wild and far, all the while, there are very large, beautiful brown trout there.
I love your whole philosophy: -I don't play with fish, I eat the fish. -
I feel about it much the same way.
I don't want to cause fish unnecessary discomfort, and I don't go into nature to mess with it.
I do not catch and release.
I release them when they're too small, or, of a species that people don't normally consume, like minnows and such.
However, oddly enough, last year, my brother and I were out on Little Rouge Creek, and released a few nice Large mouth bass, because we'd had no previous experience with them (we've mostly fished for salmon before, and were ignorant as to what the fish were.
It was bittersweet, because the bass were quite big and healthy.
You ever make it a more interesting trip with friends, with a bottle of rye or some beers, or something, whilst you're out by the river?

i just want you to now i love your video and i really learn a lot from them i m from Mississippi in the woods and i love the woods and everything it comes with and i have learned a lot and when i watch ur videos i get really excited and want to do try more things in nature thank u for having a youtube i would love to be able to live off the grid and be surrounded in nature everyday

IMHO. you may have a distict advantage, the facial hair is A: Built in camoflauge. B: Extreme Cold Weather gear. C: Adaptable fishing lure material. perhaps when combined with male pheromones you may attract female cougars? LOL!

you have that never give up attitude. I hope you don't make it tho. Not for bad reasons just because you seem like a nice fella and I wouldn't want them to edit you in a bad way such as they did the previous season.
