Winter Scout Mission For Summer Trout Fishing (2 of 2) - Steak Over Coals

Jeremy evaluates his options and measures his progress against his GPS coordinates. He also takes a break for steak over coals and tea. The main goal of this trip is to chart and scout an area to see if it would be passable with canoe in spring or summer for a future duo adventure! Jeremy navigates some known and then unknown rugged snowy landscape on snowshoe. Will he make it to the infamous Puddle Lake depicted in topographic maps? Watch to find out! While we did talk about this area of discovery, the concept for this video (along with the map) was entirely his and I take no credit at all! Minus a few tips for filming, and scene creation, this entire production was on his merit so credit is due there. I did, however, do the editing. If you have any questions, comments, praise, or encouragement, feel free to leave them below! Jeremy (One Wildcrafter) is active here and will be able to address them. These storylines take some effort to produce, so please hit the like button and leave a comment which helps us make future videos! Enjoy! OneWildcrafter (Jeremy)

oh man i envy you so much for the possibility to just walk outside and be able to have an adventure like that in the wilderness.
here in central europe (germany/austria/switzerland) the population is so dense that you-re rarely REALLY alone somewhere. Also every bit of lake or forrest is restricted for fishing. and hunting? haha. good joke.
Someday i'm gonna get out of here.

so that spot where you stopped for your lunch that wasnt a flooded beaver gully?
ive fished some small waters like that were the constant flow seems to not let the ice go crazy around
the dammed off areas and have had some awesome success!

Liked the musical accompaniment it very much matched the scenery & action. Problem with going to the next bend is that there is almost always another bend. A never ending challenge. Thanks Brian nearing 76

Nice! Sorry about your jacket. Whenever I'm out bushwhacking with my firearms I always put electrical tape over the end of the barrel. That was a lot of calories burned there buddy!

Big contemplative pause at 4: 40 - -Where's all the birch trees at? What am I going to use for tinder? - And so - I used a corner of the secret map! Blasphemy!

What a tough slogg. I'm glad he chose to show the bit about his jacket. This stuff happens and it's great to see (sucks about the jacket though)

That katana saw terrifies and excites me. Not in a pervy way. A manly way.
Also, could you clean the barrel the fashioned way? Pee in it?

The two scout missions and the eventual 3 man trip to the lakes makes for a terrific series on its own. Great work Jeremy and Chris ---
