Just watched this video. you asked for suggestions to what feed would be good to introduce in. well I personally think that some kind of fresh water shrimp would make for a good choice. the trout not only would get these as an aid to help clean the pond. but after a season or two of feeding on shrimp. the meat of the fish turn a bright orange. the whole pellet feed idea can give trout a pale look to the flesh with a liver odour. but a diet that includes fresh water shrimp (scuds)will give trout a more natural taste. Good luck. I t was always my own personal dream to own a fishing pond of my own. Loved this video a lot. maybe one day for me if only I win the lotto 649. -

Hello T. W. B. MY thing is prospecting for gold. If I didn't know any better looking at the gravel coming out of your pond I noticed very interesting ore. Try panning some samples, find some color. Gold that is. Looks as if that was a creek running thru with plenty of river rock. Is there history of gold mining in that area? To me, it looks real good for containing gold by some of the rock samples.

Your Department of Fish and game should be able to advise you as to what type of minnows to introduce, and most likely can tell you how to get that snapper out of there, and as they like to migrate from pond to pond you may get another or several more. If the bass are allowed to remain and especially if they reproduce they will destroy the trout population.

Ideally you should wait 2 years to get the pond to completely settle, grow all of the food it will need, and get the biodiversity up before you start stocking it with fish.

The word you are looking for is -Bartering- an ancient form of trading without currency.
All you need is either skills, produce or time and no one pays taxes. --

I doubt you will see this but did you use to work for Schneider National? I-m a current Independent Contractor with them in the states.
