Building a Small Cabin (Nearly FINISHED) - Trimming, BBQ Egg-Sammich

In this off grid cabin building adventure, we install the trim around the windows and doors to give it a more finished look. We use power tools with the help of our gas powered generator as we are operating totally off the grid. We are also running solar power and a batter bank so that we can get our work done efficiently. Our window and door trim is made from fresh milled ash wood trees. We are milling on a portable saw mill by Norwood, the HD36. We then need to dry, and then send the trim before it can be installed. In all, it took us around 3 weeks to get the wood ready to put on the walls. Kevin also shows off his egg sandwich making skills!

Full Stop. I watched the -complete build- video instead of season 1 though. Anyway you guys have gone so much further than I expected based on how you started out. Now I can-t decide to what extent I want to -finish- out my basic cabin concept because you-ve far exceeded our needs for a cabin -. Well done!

I have a small place - but it does have a toilet, shower and sink (I realize at least one of you doesn't shave, two if you count Holden. I don't see anything resembling a bathroom in your cabin. No bathroom in your cabin must make for fun times when it is snowing!

I seriously WISH you had your videos numbered (on this cabin project) in progressive order because I keep guessing at the next episode and then see things done that were obviously in an earlier episode (solar panels on this one)
