This is our epic journey to spearfish carp using a primitive designed Amish fish spear. Survival Fishing Playlist: I use a custom built Amish made fish spear to take wild carp from the river. The fish spear is supplied by Clancy Outdoors: In order to spear fish you need to match location with the tool being used. We are targeting freshwater common carp in the spring season when they are preparing to spawn. This is when their guard has dropped. Carp will spawn in temperatures above 45F-75F. In all we spent over 2 weeks chasing carp, most of the time spent making mistake and learning from them. Taking carp, let along with primitive gear, is a challenge. - Grizzly Glasses: - Fish Spear

patience is a virtue. same thing i tell my veteran buddies when we dove hunt. dove flies in, they blow every round they have and it gets away. Drives them crazy because im patient and 80% of the time i pull the trigger, i drop them. i tend to be more patient and lead them. gauge flight pattern and then fire. same with the fish. if they are moving, give them a second to slow down or stop when you are still new. once you get better then start hitting moving fish.

Instead of throwing that fish, you can just make a tasty broth out of it. Or maybe cut the fish into bigger pieces, toss some flour over it and fry it in oil. It's delicious. One of my fav fish meat. So sweet.

For the sling bow was that a monkey wire setup or just something from a fishing rod? Carp have some pretty thick scales so y-all could-ve hit it at a weird angle that caused your tines to bend.

Happy Birthday little one! It took me 34 years to finally get tired of playing video games and get outside, it'll happen. And when it does you'll be happy to have a dad like him: ) Good games brother.

You were right about the refraction too you have to aim way low to were you actually see the fish so if it is on the surface aim straight on but the deeper it is the further you have gotta aim down

I love carp fishing and to me this is a waste of a good decent catch like yeah food is food but still I-d rather go for a 3-4 carp to eat not a 30 but still keep up the work mate

You should change amish to european americans because otherwise that term may be considered offensive to people without a job.
