Having fun watching and finding your bass fishing videos. Yes I am fishing in a hut at the moment with my son through the ice. We live in north central PA. Great to see how fast you are catching on to pitching and flipping! Casting is an art form that takes a lot of practice to be top notch. I practice with my baitcasters all the time just off my back porch. neighbors think I'm nuts. oh well. Try skipping docks someday with your baitcaster. I would start with a spinning reel first to avoid the dreaded professional overruns. backlashes. hahahaha! We all get them. I am still a tournament fishermen after over 25yrs. and have met the best people in the world doing it for fun. I spend a lot of time now that I am 50yrs. old this year. yikes. taking out kids from school on the bassboat and teach them how to fish. I've helped many a troubled youth having hard times in life learn to love fishing. its what its all about. Roland Martin, SON, the best and was there in the beginning of Bassmaster and the Classics way back in the day. Bill Dance to of course. two legends of bass fishing.

I love taking kids fishing. It's been a good while but my wife and her 3 sisters and a sister n law and her mom would come down to the pond with their chairs and I would have to bait their hooks, untangle their lines, get the fish off the hooks and when they got real lazy I would have to cast it for them too. These are all older ladies and me fishing was impossible but I loved it when the bluegill were on Bed and we/they could catch 30 pretty quick. Of course the bugs and the heat would make them leave pretty quick. If the fish didn't start hammering the bait with in the first two minutes they would say well they ain't biting and pick up and leave which was pretty frustrating after having to carry everything down to the pond. I finally had to tell them if they wanted to leave in the first 5 minutes they were on their own and take your chairs with ya! Bunch of alfa females! lol! Treat me like a rented mule.

That makes me sad about no seriously great fishing for you. I hear and have seen that the fishing has not been the greatest lately on Lake O. Please don't give up on it. Plan a trip in March and break some records guys. As always, we enjoyed it! And yes us girls can do some amazing fishing, too! Josh and I love when we can break away and get in an afternoon or morning of fishing. As contractors sometimes its a blessing and others its a curse, lol
Get some rest and we can't wait for the next vid: )

Hey Darcizzle my Nizzle great video! I love how you keep it real with your video's regardless if you catch or don't and show people different techniques to become better fishermen and fisherwomen! I am thinking of coming down Florida way in January and I have not decided on where I am going in Florida yet and wanted to know what is good to fish offshore / inshore during that time of year. Also is bass fishing good? Do you have any suggestions and good charters or good Boat rental places?

My favorite technique! Flipping for Bass is awesome! I find on some days flipping the edge of the grass lines or Lilly pads with light weight baits, cause the bait to sink slower. On sunny days, with high pressure conditions the bass will suspend off the bottom, just under the edge of the weed lines. Using lighter weight baits the bass will slowly follow the bait down and hit the bait on the fall. Keep at it and change the weight if your not getting bit. Tight lines great stuff!

What you say is true about women and fishing. Men have to encourage women at all levels and ages to fish and support then not criticise them when they're learning. Men if you want women to fish with you give them a reason. Don't make it an unpleasant event. I taught my two daughters and now my three grand daughters and grandson also love to fish. It helps families grow and stay together through common interest. Love your vids and the fact that you're not one giant infomercial.

DA, you are an ambassador/promoter of fishing. You truly love it. Who else would go home & get casting again! My guess is B had the cheeseburger. Did you grab up some lures while there? Maybe the Gambler easy swimmer, lane toad? Funny yet your promoting the sponsors is top notch! And last view was scenic. Lush green with DA's shirt and hair showed up beautiful against the background. Nice vid as always! Peace.

Darci - I thought it was awesome that you reiterated your motivation message about EVERYONE fishing (Young girls, elderly, etc. I have always loved your message, and it is the reason we started watching you two years ago. When I was a Pro Bass Guide I would take a young child with me on my scouting for fish days. Long time since I fishehealrhd south Florida. In 91 I moved up to Welaka to fish the St. Johns River and Rodman Reservoir. My career ended in 2000 for health reasons. I enjoy your videos, keep it up and keep catching.
