this is HILARIOUS! you totally screwed up the recipe. you are supposed to balance the flavor of sweetness with sourness and saltiness. the recipe also calls for soy and vineagar. it's supposed to be a light glaze over the fish. you just plopped on grape jelly and salt! no way in hell that tastes good! that wouldn't even taste good on toast! lol! your husband is a good sport for pretending to like it tho. i believe it's called taking one for the for the team! :) btw, deermeatfordinner made a swamp cabbage video and the look on his wifes face as she took her first bite was priceless!

Partly because of your sign-off but mostly due to my LOVE of fishing an the lifestyle, my wife and I are moving from land locked Parkville, Maryland to Ocean City, Maryland in February! I have multiple charter jobs lined up but I am also starting a kayak fishing tour business where I can take people fishing in areas not easily accessible to larger boats and makes for a great day on the water and wonderful exercise! Thanks for the encouraging words DAILY and can't wait to be a part of the best fishing community on the east coast!

Great Video Darcy and Brian, ciguatera/mercury usually fish that carries these toxins are in bigger fishes but a friend I've known caught a 2 pound snapper and I am always reluctant to eat these particular fish because fearful of getting sick lucky I did not join him because a couple hours later he got sick from this fish. A day later he got better.

This couple is very admirable with a simplicity in dealing with very nice people. I like watching your videos mainly for information on how to bait the hooks.
Your Sponsor should be very proud to have a couple who knows how to handle the message.
Congratulations!

Bonito Blitz is not untypical following the passage of a hurricane (No Kidding) Next time you run into this sort of thing, reel your catch in, turn the boat around and go back to the area where the strikes took place. most likely you will experience a second blitz!

Jelly actually makes good glazes! Cumin and Anise complement Grape really well, but small amounts! Also, heat the jelly in the microwave, mix in the spices then pour/brush it on the fish. Easier to get it even, and it will thicken and glaze with the heat.

buy some ceder planks to cook the fish on. You just soak them for a few hours and then you put the fish on and over indirect heat cook. We use it for salmon in the north. Also try cooking with charcoal.

Great video but I do not think I will eat the barracuda. I have caught plenty down in the keys and they always stunk. Like you say quite often, there are too many good fish out there to eat.
