Atlantic Bonito Catch Clean & Cook (Slow Pitch Jigging) ron: We get Pacific Bonito in Australia, We also get what you call Bonita? The point of reference here is the teeth. The bonita are called mackeral tuna and have small fine teeth and are generally used for bait. We have two fish in the bonito or toothed tuna family, the smaller bonito which I have caught to 13 1/2 lb off montague island in NSW, the other is the largest of the bonitos, the Dog toothed tuna which we catch off the dropoffs on the north east coast reefs of australia. Both are considered good eating Though the pacific bonito is a little soft an is normally smoked. Ron.

This is one of my favorite videos that you have done. The instructional side is helpful because I just moved to southern florida and I want to one day have your techniques down. I tell everyone that I moved here for the free food but I need to know how to harvest it safely, legally, and efficiently. Showing how you drifted across the spot and getting in to the weeds of what is going on in your mind was awesome. Well. All of it was awesome. Thank you for what you do!

That small electric reel they guy up front was a pretty cool reel he was using. I still like your bad boy electric reel. That new boat you have is defiantly a nice boat. I notice many down in Florida are using the Suzuki Motors. Love the videos you all make and the cooking is off the hook. I know its not the same as your fresh fish cooking but I made a lunch snapper sandwich yesterday. You cant get fresh fish here in Colorado.

Benito are excellent eating! Back in the '90s when I lived on Anna Maria Island off from Bradenton, I caught a 3ft. and the tourist next to me caught a 33-. He gave me the fish. I thought I was going to cut them up for bait and an old fisherman said to bleed them out, fillet them and cut-out the bloodline. Soak them in buttermilk for 4hrs. then smoke them. Awesome fish. Saved a fillet to pan fry and came out just as good.

Bonito is a Spanish word just means
Small Tuna!
We don't have the Atlantic Bonito but we do have Bonita here in the northern
Gulf of Mexico. I have heard some people eat Bonita and it's good I've caught tons of them and threw them back. !
Does anyone here eat Bonita! If it's good I want to know because I love Tuna. !

Y'all. this has to be one of your 'best' vids. really. epic! Great to see that Atlantic Bonito (tuna-like/mackerel-ish). and yes, they are delish! You can eat it in various ways, marinated and grilled, pan seared, sushimini'ed, it's just absolutely an awesome, yet rare fish to catch and eat. Can't wait to see what's next! #NumberOneFan

The pandemic came and taught everyone the importance of having multiple stream of income, unfortunately having a nice paying job doesn't mean you are financial secured anymore. So we all need to put in an etra-income earning chance, like investment.
