The fishing gods were definitely smiling down on you for this one -
I know people catch Bass on all sorts of things but i don't think squid and sandeel wrap would be everyones first choice.
That was a cracking Bass to catch on any bait. A right result on what was looking like being a challenging session.
What made that capture even more special was the noise it was making off-camera as you was bringing it in. You didn't have to see it to know it was a half decent fish. you could hear it!

Hi john let's start from the beginning lol thanks to your boat videos I had my 1st charter trip last Sunday on lady gail 2 out of dale pembrokshire and what a day, I caught 3 cod 12 mackerel and lost count on the pollock after around 20 lol but nothing bigger than around 5lb, also got to see a load of dolphins and 2 sunfish, booked again now for the 9th of Sep for conger fishing cant wait absolutely loving the videos cheers

Absolutely brilliant, loving your videos John, slowly working the way through from the earliest. Wonderful entertainment but also incredibly informative. Returning to sea fishing after a 30-year break, I'm appreciating them massively, both for me and my eleven year old lad. Thank you and please keep them coming!

Nice catch for there. You're opposite one of my favourite spots in Cornwall, where I like to fish ti the right of the chains. My 2 biggest huss are from there and I lost what felt like my biggest ever ray there too, serves me right for leaving old braid on it though. Top videos -

Last night I was next to someone who brought in a badly wrapped conger all he did was chuck it on the stones wrapped in line it's lucky I was their I unhooked her and got the line off her if I was not their would ha e just died tangled in 4 hooks

Nice couple of Bass, lovely fish. That's a tricky mark to fish isn't it? Very strong tide there, only ever fished it for Whiting in the Winter but it's a nice spot on a calm night: )
