I used to watch the shit out of this show but got tired of the staged hooksets.
There's no way you had the rod perfectly in frame and zoomed in right at the time the fish took.
You guys are good enough anglers and filmmakers to not have to pander like that to the audience.

I'm really curious what kind of nets you use. I'm sure they're whatever the guides have handy, but could you give some tips on how to select a good, budget-friendly fishing net for fishermen who are fishing from both boat or shore? Thanks for all the great videos!

in Newfoundland, it is best to have a 2lb leader, when you hook a fish play him a jump or 2, and when he runs the line and fish separate then it doesn't count as a landed fish
