I have never in my 30 years of fishing used more than one rod while fishing, especially from shore. I understand the premise but I'm old fashioned with a spinning rod and have never had any problems and out fish many buddies with all of their gear, its not all about how much money you spend.

Ask your butcher for some thick cuts of bacon and cook them in an oven at 300 for 20 min or so and flip half way. depending on your oven time could vary, but it will be the best bacon if your not a super crispy person. It's worth the extra time it takes to cook
