dude you are in the danger zone! a water change regiment (bi-weekly adding and removing water) followed by aquatic plants, ICP testing and addition of biofilter (examples: bioballs+wetlands style/aquaculture plants style) would create a long term system capable of bio load. You can link the other pond to maintain a more uniform cooling and utilize the ponds filtering elements allow a larger system for less water parameter swings and ultimately stable reduced mortality and a stable ecosystem.
ultimately without changes, these ponds won't last and mass mortality is coming without establishing a cycle to reduce bio load. I have left a few minor comments but decided it needed to be said. Do a feature with some pond dudes we wanna see these systems thrive!
gotta pay to play!

Dude, please don't take offense to this. But why do you keep buying these little baby animals just to let them get f cking attacked by the animals you aren't qualified to trap or kill? Everytime one gets mauled, you buy something else. I'm a hunter. I fish. I trap. So I'm not some animal rights natzi. But how many animals are you gonna let die and then just replace with something else?

Try getting a GoPro and put a waterproof case on it and then you can put the camera in the water to see the bass one like equals more chance of flare seeing my post

Get ahold of the pond guy from aquascape and do a collab. They will make you an amazing bass pond that you can use year round even with the winter.
