VLOG #7 My experience in Canada was amazing. It was full of wilderness and majestic scenes, the only problem was we were disconnected from the outside world for a few days, if you want to even call that a problem. We visited some friends up there that have been been going to the same lodge for 20 years. There was a lot of first for me on this trip including being out of the states for the first time, eating fresh walleye, catching pike and seeing a few bears too. Rainy lake is a great smallmouth and walleye fishery, and I would recommend getting up there if you want to see what pristine waters look like. Awesome experience, can't wait to go back again!

Listen up everyone! Pro Tip: Ship your rods in a good rod tube UPS to your destination ahead of your trip and notify them to expect them. Insure them with UPS, and you can track it. I also ship my tackle, I fly with my reels. I do this all time, has never been an issue, not one lost ever or broken.

You passed where we usually fish in MN! Orr. Take kayaks in May. If you can't catch 70 smallmouth in a day on Pelican in spring it's a bad day. But then again, the locals sneer at you as they head out to fish for Perch and Walleye. Heck of a long drive from Tulsa, so I suspect Texas might be longer! Ha

dude! that's the Dicks Sporting Goods I always go to for sports apparel. not rods. oh man. there was a place called Joe's Sporting Goods only 10min away and they would've had all you needed. Man broken rods are no fun! awesome vid still! big fan of yours Justin! Coming from South to North is no joke. lol

Lake fork guy, I live in International Falls and I fish rainy river and lake a lot, the walleye is amazing and I have got some toad smallmouth, also my grandma lives on pelican lake and we catch big largemouth and crappie in Orr. And yes the misquotes are horrible.

Yes, there is no internet service up there, because it is true wilderness, and we should treasure it for that. Shutting of the phone and devices and enjoying nature is what its all about.

This makes me want to go up there, really cool. I can tell that you were roughing it, only had a couple cameras and a drone. haha
Thanks for the post, beautiful place!

I was in Minnesota last week for a fishing trip. Service sucks up there and there is a ton off mosquitoes. But the fishing is great and I would live there any day

You never told us how your rods broke? I use a rod tube when I fly and haven't had any problems(knock on wood. I might shed some tears if my good rods broke.
