River Jet Boat Bass Fishing

River bass fishing is one of my favorite ways to fish. Bass are usually shallow around cover and frog fishing and fishing a jig are primary techniques. In this winter fishing vlog, I'm joined by my friend Grant and our river largemouth bass fishing guide Carson. We are fishing the Colorado river located in central Texas. Carson's jet engine bass boat is set up perfectly for fishing the shallow backwater areas that can't be accessed by a traditional fiberglass bass boat. After a series of warm night, the water surface temps have arrived in the lower 60's, making some of the bass start to move up into shallow backwater ponds to begin spawning. We are flipping jigs and casting chatterbaits and spinnerbaits around the banks and catching bass very shallow. Grant casts into an old pond an immediately gets a few bites. We cant access the pond by water, so Carson uses the aluminum jet boat to launch the boat into the other side of the pond. Once we get into the pond, you get some quality bites and end up catching a big bass on a topwater frog. It turn out it was the same largemouth bass that Grant had break his line just a few minutes earlier! We had to work for our bites which is typical for pre spawn bass fishing just before the start moving on beds, but we still caught some nice bass and saw some cool wildlife. I fished this river is a kayak a few years back and it was work out! WATCH THE KAYAK VIDEO FROM THIS RIVER GRANT'S NEW YOUTUBE CHANNEL! CARSON'S BACKWATER GUIDE SERVICE INFO

that was awesome, when I was a kid this guy was fishing at the lake near us a fish got his whole pole. about 15 min later my dad catches a 12 lb catfish. after getting it in he noticed another line, pulling it in revealed a rod and reel. unfortunately the guy had left already. But a couple weeks later we seen him again the lake and asked him about loosing his rod. he told us that what hurt the worst was it was a gift from his grandfather that passed. The look on his face was priceless when my dad handed him his rod back.

I don't give recognition to fiberglass boats. Aluminum only. Once you see that fiberglass does a hole, and sinks on you, but aluminum bends in, and most often survives to keep you afloat, you start to appreciate aluminum made, and forgo fiberglass beauties

That grate slots not being straight is killing your power plus can let bigger rocks through there. Ive seen em cause cavitation by being slightly bent which eats away at the impeller and pump body. Just lettin ya kno

1: 36. dude replace or at least repair your intake grates! I know your boat will run as is, but it'll run so much better with those fixed and take a look at your impeller/liner while at it. Otherwise, Great video
