I'm building a diy dream desk for my outdoorsman man cave using old dirty barn wood, but I'm turning it into something beautiful and amazing Sp00ks: I found you for your fishing videos, now I find I enjoy your DIY was much if not more. I remember when I was at about that skill level. We purchased a house built in 1865 and it's a never ending project. I recently rediscovered wood working and I'm really enjoying it. I look forward to more of your DIY videos, you all take care.

These woodworking videos are awesome. I did a lot of woodworking through High School building bow racks, gun cabinets and a walnut/cedar log bed. I can appreciate all of the time it takes to create the projects that you envision. Keep up the awesome work, one of my favorite youtubers!

A table top planer will save you so much time and labor. You can clean up each side of the board and make each board the same width and thickness by passing them through the planer.
Hope this helps, keep up the great work!

They make a soft bristle brush for a drill like what goes on a broom, I see alot of people using it on alot of old wood restoration projects. Not sure where you buy it though, but it wont take the character out of the wood.

Justin I know I am a bit late but check out the Porter Cable Restorer tool Model PXRA2676. I think that will help ya. I do wood working too and this is great for cleaning up old wood.

LFG If that wood is pre-1920 or probably pre-1940 you are good with it not being asbestos since it wasn't even invented until the 20's. Keep up the videuhs (southern accent.

Justin, you need a planer. Find out if there are any hardware stores that will rent one to you. Hit me in the DM with any questions. I got your back like a butt crack

When my dad got Cancer he switched to wood work instead of body work and restoring old cars he once told me that he enjoyed working with wood was more enjoyable

Just as a precaution if you believe something has asbestos always remember to soak it down to prevent a release of asbestos fibers.

Woodcraft is a higher art form. It's one of the greater endeavors that separates Man from beast. Or, man from woman. maybe.
