you could do lots worse than to love fishing way too much. since I got into fishing everything I see is under evaluation as potential bait lol. sewing thread, cotton yarn, seed beads, fake flowers and leaves, gummy candies, fabrics, socks, dog treats, cat toys, and I cannot pass the fishing department without that inner voice pleading with me you already have way too much bait.

Say happy. Now say crappie. Right. Not croppie, crappie, as in happy. Yankees say croppie. I caught two bass and a few fine crappie, gonna cook'em up for my Mammy and my Pappy (not Poppy, the biscuits in the oven, coffee's in the pot. I like my fish when they're piping hot.

I go crappie fishing all the time. Infact im leaving a little later to go tie off under a railroad trussel. We fish through the night though and never know when a big stripper, white bass, or hybrid will come through.

I recently discovered something about finding live minnows. Whenever you find a little ditch pond that hold water. Buy you a small fish net. Those little ditch ponds are full of live minnows. Dont cost a dime.

If you want some big slab crappie, come to the Florida panhandle on the Choctawhatchee River. Not very many locals fish for them and you can just tear them up!

I thought you can't use gold fish for bait. Cuz they could survive and multiply and they will be all over a lake let me know if you could use them in some Lakes?
