Ain't no way I'd walk that trail without my sidearm with so many hogs around. Surprised you said you didn't have it with you. Hell, I rarely don't have mine on me on any hike. You never know. especially with all the cougar/mountain lion sightings in my area the last few years. (Missouri). Good luck on that next Coyote hunt!

Bump the forward assist once or twice to assure the bolt is fully engaged every time you load a new round. Every time Ive seen a light strike in an AR rifle it was due to the bolt not engaging completely. The round with the light strike mark is still safe to use.

is it normal to carry a pistol on you in texas when your hiking it seems like a encounter with a hog would be sketchy. or is it not that likely youll run into one im from illinois not any animals that cause much concern over here

I've always wanted to but never have gone out to slap some coyotes. I saw half a dozen or so when out chasing pronghorn a couple weeks ago. Might need to build a gun for it now. That'll be the excuse at least lol.

why don't u take ur kayak and get ur trail camera. It should be there unless the tree is gone lol. my camera has went through 2 floods now and it still works man.

Dude, screw that. all those hog tracks, carry a damn pistol with you. Know your trying to keep weight down, but weight don't mean crap if you get attacked by one.

Yall should check out hunters kloak mister and use the citronella in it for mosquitoes. It works better than the thermocell.
