I'm surprised you didn't see any fish in that first mountain pond. I'm sure there are some fish, but maybe not Trout.
But in my experience, it seems that life finds it way into ponds and lakes, no matter how isolated they are. Either they get there through birds dropping fish or birds with eggs on their feet, or they get there through other means.
At the very least I'm surprised that at some point over the last 150 years that there hasn't been at least one outdoorsmen who thought If I put a few trout in here, I'm going to have myself a damn good fishing spot to myself in a few years.

Like your videos, but you really need to carry a net so you you dont have to drag the trout thru the rocks on shore to land them. It's better for the fish especially if your not planning to eat these trout. :)

They do stock mountain lakes with trout by helicopters. I know up in the Adirondacks here in Upstate NY they fly in to remote mountain lakes and drop the fish by air.

My dad used to take me backwoods/high mountain fly fishing all the time. Didn't realize how big of a deal it was until I grew up. Gosh, I hate the city xD
