We are fishing for crappie today using the new Garmin Livescope fish finder to locate big schools of crappie in real time and watch them eat our lures in real time. This is an amazing new way to study and locate fish!

Crappie is my favorite fish to eat with Bass being the second best. but I love catching them all!
We used to night fish for Crappie using live minnows and a floating crappie light in a shallow water often near the bank where theres some old trees, stumps, or brush, whereas all youd need was about 4-6 feet of fishing string hanging from your rod and just keep plucking them out of the water.
We could often catch our limit in an hour or two, or maybe longer when there were fewer fish as that was before fish finders existed and you had to be rich to own a depth finder. so it was hit and miss fishing just using your imagination and lake knowledge of our local Lake Livingston near Livingston, Texas where fishing was a lot better 30 plus years ago. Keep catching um, and keep the videos coming!

Do you still guide or can you recommend a guide for lake fork? Ive been on this lake only once during middle of summer so we didnt have great results but have always wanted to give it another try

Been slamming the crappie on the live scope on fork and Hubbard lately as well, I tell you one thing once you get the live scope you never really go back, its amazing!

a significant reason I watch these videos is to learn new terminologies when describing fish. thunderbiscuit and meat-wagon officially have a place in my vocabulary

The yellow bass or yellow bellies actually hit your bait really hard. They have a little spike on their gill plate and that is how they kill shad.

Wait now. so, the trolling motor self-adjusts based on what shows up on the graph? Or is just the humans that adjust? Hmmm.
