Sea MONSTER Rips Fish To SHREDS!

Brook, Jason and I headed offshore to catch some Giant Amberjacks, when all hell broke loose. We hooked a giant AJ on a live Almaco Jack for bait and it got eaten by a sea monster that took a 1/4 mile of line from my AVET 50 reel. It was a tug of war fish battle, in which the shark took 3/4 of what would have been a 60+lb Amberjack.

Hmm letme learn y'all something about why people don't like that way of fishing. Most fishermen fish 100% to catch them. To me catching them is just a bonus. People like me want to feel the fight of the fish. The way you caught the head of that amberjack is something i'll never do in my life it looks lame tbh. It's like something you cant explain to someone who doesn't understand. Something only a few fishermen think of when fishing. Just that one on one battle with a beast in it's own territory fighting for it's life you can't beat that feeling. But, i mean hey do you bro. If you enjoy fishing like that then who am i to tell you different. Please post more Amberjack videos bro even if i dont like the way you fish i'll still watch because i admire how hard aj's fight.

Just telling you guys want we used for AJ live bait when I was a Commerical Bandit fisherman as was as a Commerical charter fisherman. 8 inch triggers with the trigger removed with a pair of pliers. Clip that big fin off, circle hook in the nose. My biggest rod and reel AJ and biggest bandit caught AJ were caught on triggers. Both fish in the 103/5 lbs range. I even remember where I sold them, independent seafood, lake worth. big George

Why would someone complain about using the aj as bait for sharks when thats literally what was probably gonna happen anyway like thats how the food chain works

I don't know if they get leader shy over there, but off Louisiana we usually use at least 300# leader with 16/0 circles to yank them donkeys out the structure.

Vic you and Brook should come up to Palm Beach and go out with me and my wife. We are around the same ages as you two. I'd love to get some tips from you two!

Do you ever eat the sharks? And of course you keep those eaten Jacks for bait, still a lot of meat left. it happened to me with a king once, cut in half!

Bahahaha 2-4ft waves in a 21ft boat is rough - give me a break lol. Been out on a 16ft boat with 2-4ft waves and it was perfectly fine.

I think as long as the fish bends the hook it is OK if it gets off. Awesome to feel that much power on the end of the line.
