Hope you all had a good memorial day weekend outdoors. Brook and I tried to do some surf fishing off the beach and hopefully catch and cook our dinner. We also brought a crab trap to try and catch speckled (Calico) crabs, but that didn't go as planned. It looked like the tail end of the spring mullet run out there, but both our fishing and catch n cook ended up being fails. ckr1011: At least you and Brook made the most of a great weekend and had a good time even in the face of everything failing. Hard to explain how the fish could be popping all over and once you enter the water they were all gone. If I were to guess why I think it may have been that hat.

I'm from Stuart, I went to the beach on Memorial day in the Jensen-PSl area and saw all the different types of seaweed too, there were pieces like 2 feet big green and orange/red, I have never see anything like that on our coast. My best guess is the green stuff is known as Sea Lettuce called Ulva Lactuca. The red might be Halymenia Floresia or called red sea lettuce. I checked multiple websites thats my best guess, it is weird seeing a kelp like seaweed on our coast

the pine apple ridges are the egg case of lightning whelks, and the algae is called Ulva or Sea lettuce. I go to a school called Marine Oceanographic Academy and its nice to finally share some of the Info we learn!

LOL. Thanks for focusing in on my failures. You just gotta go with the flow like you did. It all works out in the end. Planning is the first step in failure. (I came up with that one.

Coleman stoves are easy to fix. It's either the pump or the generator. Typically you can take the generator apart and clean it. Replace the pump cup, or the complete pump.
