Awesome stuff guys! But Fishaholic should have told you to pick up some Corkers with those bucktails. Wet rocks are super dangerous and even more so when you are in waders. Don't want to sound like a jerk. Just some Northeast knowledge. Most guys don't wear waders on Jetties for the reason that if you fall in they will fill up with water and then no more great videos from you! That would suck. Also. Bonito and Little Thunnus or Albies are two different species' in the same genus. From what I have heard Bonito are sushi grade fish while Albies are not so bueno for the pallette. Keep up the awesome shit!

I believe we have so many Albies this year is that Irma and Maria pushed warmer water along the New England coast. They are usually gone by mid September - October. The downside is the warmer water caused the Tautog to move out. Hopefully with the water cooling they may return. My thoughts on Albies is fun to catch but I don't want them on a plate. I'd rather have Tautog, not as exciting as Albies but still a good tug.

cool to hear your perspective on the albies. more florida guys need to come to the northeast and catch these things from the beaches/jetties/harbors and backbays, they drive us crazy up here often times dont eat anything, this year was the best year for them we've had perhaps in 10-20 years. a real challenge is to catch a true Bonito from shore

Thought bonito and false albacore/albies/little tunny were different species? Bonito with straight stripes, and the false albacore with a worm type stripe pattern.
Also bonito taste good and false albacore don't which is why the value and perspectives of the fish are different.

I was in Florida last month and I was on Navarre pier trying to catch Bonita but I'm from Indiana and everyone was catching them on spoons so I found a silver jigging spoon and I casted it and worked it like a jerkbait and I hooked one Bonita but I'm yet to catch one

All about attitude for sure. You don't talk trash on the ladyfish either. everyone says they are worthless. Fun to catch is fun to catch. Some guys have methods to eat them, some use for bait, some throw them back. Any fish is a good fish!

Not many northeast fisherman use the plain bucktail. Almost all are firm believers in tipping the bucktail with a swimbait, otter tails or uncle joshs pork rind if u can still find it. great video tho!
