Join me on a day of coastal foraging for bait, mainly speckled crabs and sand fleas! I was looking for bait at the beach and didn't strike it big, but did manage to get some bait for an upcoming trip to fish for permit and pompano up north!

Hi Victor
Could u recommend a rode and real for around 100. 00 dollars for my little girl? Shes 2. 5 yrs old and I want a ride & real that will grow with her for about 2-3 yrs. We will be fishing on and off shore. We live on the west coast of Fl. I dont want to buy her a toy basically that they sell in the shops and it will brake with in maybe 4 weeks of use.

I get calicos almost every day. I found the best way is use the mesh crab traps. Just put another thinker medal ring around it. And use cast net Weights. And put four around the sides and at the bottom. The best is a for the weight. It works great. On average I get 20 dozen every time. Im in Mid East coast. Idk maybe there are more here. Anyway love the videos.

Cool vid. I haven't been to Fla in over 40 years. I spent about 4 months in the Melbourne/ Palm Bay area after I graduated HS. Killed me to come back to jersey. I didn't start Saltwater Fishing until I was around 30 yrs old. I retire in 1-1/2 yrs and plan on fishing my way down the coast from Cape Cod to the Keys. Can't wait, great vid.

Hey kid do you want to catch a lot more crabs in a short time? dip your trap in green or brown paint. it will camo and also stop the electtrolosis that occurs in the salt water. crabs don't like that. i used to be a commercial crabber so I know. do it and see.

Have you ever tried to order green crabs or Asian crabs and you use that for sheeps head red fish drum and permit? If possible can you do a video on it. I know they work here in jersey for tautog but Im curious to see how it works in Florida

You know you if you do local driving you should be able to take your card with you our local dating so big balloon tires might be just right to make a float this way when you come up you can just put your stuff inside the cart LOL

I catched those crabs here in vero beach. I catched them by hand but me and my hubby stopped coz I have no idea if we need to get license to catch those crabs. But we enjoyed a lot though and we cooked it, taste sooo good.

Hey victor. What are the speckled craps with the orange lump on the bottom. Where I fish for pomp i dont use them because some guy who used them next to me once said the fish dont like them as much.

Aloha, in Hawaii well stake some Aku belly or heads or whatever leftover bait we have in the Surfline w/mesh or plastic bags so the scent will bring in the sandfleas. Good for oio, moi, and papio.
