In this episode I'm linking up with Brooks Beatty from Jackson Kayak to hit the legendary Broad River in search of smallmouth, spotted and largemouth bass. Watch to find out if we can pull off a Broad River Slam

Great catches man. Love the Vids. Im between the bonafide ss127 and hobie compass. I mainly hit rivers, but hit ponds and lakes when I can. Which would you recommend? Just can't seem to decide if the pedal drive is worth sacrificing some of the awesome features over the bonafide. Mostly the storage and stability. Even though I sit more than I stand.

You made a comment about the river being the third oldest. Its definitely older than the Appalachian Mountains. The river is the only one in the world that flows up in elevation before flowing down the other side of the Appalachians. Scientifically, that means the river existed before the mountains did.

Nice video, very entertaining. I dont know anything about fish and kayak fishing, I just do kayak touring and recently started to make boring videos about it. But what you do really looks like fun. :)

Realizing you rig the kayak for different areas, but what is the average time it takes you to rig your gear/cams/accessories prior to getting on the water?
Nice episode!

Where did you guys put in at? Looked like the ramp off Hwy 64, or no? Great video, haven't floated the river yet, but I appreciate the video. Hendersonville NC

Awesome adventure! It's nice to see a variety of fresh water fish being caught in a video. Catch you on the next one. Those marshmallows looked delicious!
