INSANE KAYAK FISHING: GOLIATH GROUPER Offshore in Panama

In this episode we're coming off one of the best days of fishing we've ever had at Los Buzos, and the bite is NOT slowing down. The clients are landing big fish left and right when Josh Maddox, who got flipped by a big roosterfish last episode, hooks into something MASSIVE that we've never caught before at the lodge

I don't know the regulations in place in Panama, but as far as I know the goliath grouper is still a protected species everywhere, and in the South Atlantic waters and the Gulf it's illegal to actually pull them out of the water. You're supposed to cut the line/hook with them still in the water. No harm here, because it swam off strong, but just a bit of information for future encounters should you be lucky enough.

ok I like fishing a lot myself been fishing my whole life. But you have to be some kind of major Idiot to fish from a kayak. That is just Dumb. There are to many large predators in the water. I will not risk my life fishing from a surfboard with a chair.

The jacks in the pacific are another species of jacks. They are smaller than the ones in Florida and all that. The world record for an Atlantic jack is over 100 pounds and the world record for a pacific jack is like 39 pounds

There are 2 species of Jack Crevalle! Notice how the jacks in your video have the sickle closer to the tail and they dont get as big as the yellow submarines in Florida!
