This week we're working on adding some lighting to the castle, and just generally finishing up the castle stage. Thanks for all the amazing feedback on my videos, especially 6 Months of Learning Game Development in Unity (Progress & Result) and A day In the Life of a Game Developer & Student. In my opinion, the torch sprites are too large for the amount of light it gives. I recommend making the torches smaller and more abundant so you can consistently (as opposed to seeing a huge torch and then it goes as dark as it gets if you walk 5 feet to the left/right for a solid stretch before lighting up again) see the atmospheric setting you're trying to capture while they play without distracting the players too much with large sprites. The window's you have in the castle look great and I wouldn't change them, I would just adjust the torch's scale using the window as a reference to get a more realistic size. I would also make the flame on the torch thinner while keeping the same height and possibly add an animated texture that affects not the lighting, but the flame itself just to give it that live look.

Hey Dani, HUGE fan of your work. Like many others, i have a suggestion. You dont have to implement it but here it is. Could you possibly change the flash when you hit someone from WHITE to RED?

The boss seems strong from far away but when you get close, he is like 'well this is my death!'. He should do a knockback attack with his leg or his weapon for this fight to feel more boss like

I think this devlog series might have inspired me to make my own devlog series in the scratch or alice engine, however I'll probably change things up edit: It won't be an off the sticks clone.

I think u should put the black knight's helmet in a chest on the next map or something like that or have to buy it from a merchant when u beat the boss and a smaller version of his weapon

You should have a hidden ladder that leads on top of the castle and have another boos fight with a dragon xD I can't wait to see where you take this game! Keep up the good work duder!

Maybe you should make a bustling market full of chatter with the new conversation system? Maybe this could be a stage with exclusive gear that you can buy?

You should make enemy's have a certain drop chance to drop their armor or swords. The black knight could have like a 1% chance to drop his mace
