all amd users need to do is follow thier leader...wait for what intel gonna show next year of next dgpu releases...i know raja kodria was getting so close to 1080ti in performance many times but price didn't help him due to bad leadership from AMD company is putting more effort on cpu division...lisa su fault for not make RADEON need to be at...but raja never gives up the challedge ...with intel...nvidia is more nervous than little sh___ company from amd pose no threats at all..only thing radeon have is markenting team with chinese workers presenting nothing but rdna this and that...software with another software ...we need real hardware cards ...not software iteration on old hardware

Im really having issues here. Ive watched alot of moores law is dead content and he seems pretty confident in amd being abled to compete on the highest level and he was right earlier with alot of ampere leaks as well. But given the History of amds gpus and their shitty marketing its more of an I want to believe they have something than an I do believe they have something. I guess ill probably upgrade my 1070ti to a 3080 tho Id wish they would have the same miracle run with rdna2 as with ryzen

AMD can bumble along with their GPUs, because not too many people have high expectations of them. At this point, i just expect some sub-par 3060 ti level performance thing where they charge for the amount of RAM. They really lost my interest with their dumbass marketing and I will try to get a 3080 or 3070. Failing that, as a space heater (aka Vega 56) owner, I will require them to have extremely cheap prices and shining reviews for the same performance before I go AMD GPU again.

People upgrade their GPUs at best once every 2 years. If sucessfully getting more consumers to wait until their product is revealed before buying a card is not a good marketing move, then I don't know what is.
I'm sure AMD's marketing would love to present their products as soon as possible, but sometimes procurement and logistics can put that on hold, and I bet that is the case here. If anything, their marketing team is what is holding them together right now.

The only way to fix Radeon marketing after multiple new Head of Marketing personnel changes over the last few years, is for AMD to change the person/team who hires them.
It is obvious that Radeon group thinks this marketing strategy is great or only thing they have and are hiring marketing staff who belives cheap shots, that gets back slapping at the moment is great even though they know they will get facepalmed few days later

I'm still on a R290 & almost upgraded to RX5700xt but was waiting on Nvidia to release & 3080 is looking like the next upgrade. I could wait to see watch amd has to offer performance/price.
In my case I don't game anymore & whatever I play the R290 can run fine but just I upgraded to a ultra wide monitor so looking for an upgrade to run dual ultra wide 1440 in the future. Competition is good for consumers :-)

BigNavi to me sounds like that annoying boisterous challenger stepping into the ring only to be knocked out yet again by the current title holder. It'd certainly be funny to me if their product falls flat on its face even after all the hype they've generated.. I'm not gonna expect much from them at this point. I'm going to switch to Nvidia's 3000 series from my Vega on my next upgrade if Radeon continues to disappoint.

Good points about the friendly fire AMD marketing but I think they've done way better this generation with barely any leaks or teasers when compared to the Vega hype and launch. I think Radeon also has a somewhat cultish following which markets its products for them (even when they themselves aren't releasing any info) and I'm glad AMD isn't feeding into it so much this time.

I went with the 5700XT Nitro plus for my first PC build because it got good reviews and I like to root for the underdog and I've been very happy with my PC and still am but if they drop the ball with RDNA 2 it'll be hard to ignore Nvidia's superior products with Ampere. Even if RDNA can't compete in the high end with Nvdia they need to at least better the 3070. At least.

That they are rumoured to be realigning their prices for the RDNA2 to reduce them basically confirms the next 12 months will be Radeon competing on price. 8nm with Nvidia's tech was enough to put a stop to AMD RDNA2 as somehow better relegated it to continue to be cheaper . Juvenile marketing is just symptomatic of having an inferior product, just ask Intel ;)
