Hilariously Bad Alienware R10 Ryzen PC: 1800 Pre-Built Review

Dell has led the way in our latest prebuilt testing: The company has continually set new bars in prebuilt quality. For Dell, no bar is too low. The Alienware R10 takes us to new depths. In this review, we re testing an Alienware R10 Ryzen Edition pre-built gaming computer, which shipped for about 1800- 1850 and included an AMD R7 5800 (non-X CPU), NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, and (gasp) two sticks of RAM. The Alienware R10 Ryzen Edition system, sadly, lets AMD down in a big way: It s using an Intel cooler on the AMD CPU, and it s a low-power cooler that s starved for air. The enclosure is comically complex, to the point of being a negative in the review.

Oof wonder if Alienware lets you download quality purchases? Guessing not given last Bios attack vector through their update system.

Can already tell it looks like it could become a literal trash fire. Would probably even be satisfying to see it set on fire

That heatsink is an insult. Honestly how much would it cost to get a slightly better cooler that actually covers all the dies?

why would a company like Dell make a pc gaming noob's (the only realistic demographic for this product) experience so shitty?

Almost a sabotage to Ryzen CPUs to make such a shitty PC with those. Me thinks the Intel ones have at least better cooling.
