Did Gigabyte fix the rattling noise of the fans that occurred during every spin up on the Gaming G1 1080? In combination with their silent mode (fans completely stop below a certain temperature) and the fact that low fan percentages ( below 18%) lead to the fans stopping and starting all the time (instead of running slowly but continuously) this meant one had to manually set a minimum fan speed or suffer a constant repeats of rattling noise from the card. Gigabyte did one firmware update that only somewhat alleviate the problem but did not fix it. I was disappointed that no review of the card picked up this major deficiency and am unsure whether newer Gigabyte cards still suffer from the same issue. Overall, I'm very happy with my Gaming G1 1080 but had I known about the annoying start/stop rattling, I would have chosen ASUS.

Just got this card, it performs really well and I've had zero driver issues. I've been playing the outer worlds on max settings at 60hz, 1440p. I do have a few complaints however, it has really bad coil whine when you're doing even the simplest of tasks, like scrolling a page in your web browser. Also, the shroud is made of extremely thin plastic that squeaks at any slight touch, as soon as I took it out of the box it felt like it was made of legos and was gonna burst into pieces at any moment. I'm a bit paranoid about that considering I once had a zotac card of similar shroud quality and it literally snapped itself in half within 4 months.

Reacting in March of 2020, sorry: ) But RGB integration is a secondary, yet another factor that some builders take into account. Sapphire requires its own Nitro software, at least it did not so long ago, and from previous experience it does not cooperate with other RGB software. A Gigabyte motherboard and GPU will cooperate together, plus RAM including. Of course, Steve & GN doesn; t, as per previous statements, but if one cares about RGB a full MB-GPU-RAM color coordination, such a coordination is a factor to consider, in Giga's favor.

Help. I have the card for 2 days now. I have the latest driver installed. it made a strange sound while moving things on the screen. Reinstalled windows and now the buzzing sound is gone but occasionally my games stops responding. The temps I think that they are fine. With the fan at 1800 rpm (u can't hear it on that speed ) I get line 71-72C on hotspot. I don't really want to return it. Any advise on this? power supply is a Corsair cx750. Thanks

I watched this video last night close to midnight and thought to myself, Oh, I didn't even realize Gigabyte's AIB RX 5700 XT card came out. Went on Newegg to click the Auto Notify button (like I've done with the Sapphire Pulse and Powercolor Red Devil AIB cards) but was instead greeted with an Add to Cart button. I couldn't believe it was in stock! I added that bast' and placed my order. Looking forward to receiving it soon. Thanks, GN!

Hi Steve, Have you or your team experience any BSOD with the Radeon RX 5700 XT recently with their new driver release? There several thread on the AMD graphic card forum. lots of people having issues with AMD drivers constantly crashing while surfing the net or watching Youtube videos. You guys should do a review about so AMD can fix this issues right away and stop releasing crappy drivers.

never again going to take a recommendation from you Steve about GPU this is by far the shittiest card i ever owned, I knew Gigabyte have a reputation of a cheaply made, low quality product maker, and this card is exactly that. hot and I mean VERY HOT, loud like a jet 40% if you on the market for a rx 5700 xt do yourself a favour and buy Sapphire nitro+ or Powerolor Red Devil

A few shops here in NZ stock the Evoke but not the Pulse. They must have missed the GN reviews, or hope that we the consumers missed them. One shop has the ROG one. It is supposed to reach over 2ghz, but it's quite a lot more expensive. I would go for the Pulse, but I am not doing an upgrade within 12 months of my last one. My computer addict group would call that a relapse: D

I'm amazed at how you managed to run these benchmarks without the computer crashing every 10 minutes. I got my card and i RMAd it after just 2 days because the drivers were just unbearable. i was only able to run minecraft for approx 10 minutes before my screen tuned black. I'm about to order RTX2070 super as i heard that there aren't any problems with it

I just wanted to thank you for the shrinking blue bars on the edges of graphs that tell me how long I have to peruse the slide before it disappears. What a fantastic idea! Knowing that I have plenty of time to parse that info helps me pay attention to both the graph and what you're saying, instead of having to choose between them. Thank you so much!
