We're rounding up some of the worst and best PC cases that we know about for 2020 so far. Mesh is a trend, but not alone. Sponsor: Us! Grab a GPU diagram shirt or modmat at - a total of 10% of all GN store sales revenue will be donated to Wildlife Rescue South Coast and Adelaide Koala & Wildlife Hospital through February 19, 2020. If you wanted to buy something from us, now's a good time. Charity donation links below if you prefer. This video rounds-up our early look at 2020's computer cases. There are a lot that'll likely end up on our Best Cases of 2020 list at the end of the year, but we still need time to test them; fortunately, many of these cases are due out before Computex 2020, which is when the next round of enclosures will be announced. Many of the 2020 cases are already known at this point, as development lifecycles can span upwards of 18 months and beyond, but there'll be a few more slipping in toward end of year (especially after Computex. In the meantime, we've got a good handle on most of the mid-towers, and an especially good handle on the mesh focus. Cases in this include (but are not limited to and also not all good): SilverStone Alta F1, Phanteks P500A, Phanteks P300A, SilverStone CS330, be quiet! Pure Base 500DX, ASUS ROG Z11, MSI Creator 400M, Lian Li Lancool II Mesh, Cooler Master's MB311L, and more. We're talking ATX, micro-ATX, and mini-ITX in this round-up. If you'd rather give straight to the charities, consider the below: SUPPORT WILDLIFE CHARITIES HELPING WITH AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRES Charities we are supporting for wildlife recovery in Australia are listed below. We are going to list other charity auction items over the next few weeks. They will take turns benefiting the different charities and rescue organizations listed below: Wildlife Rescue South Coast: Adelaide Koala & Wildlife Hospital: WIRES Australian Wildlife Rescue: Wild2Free Roo Sanctuary:

I just built in a Thermaltake Level 20 HT. Surprisingly the thermals are pretty good given it's strange design although there is a good sized gap on the front panel, but I suspect it's for passive cooling/ convection based cooling. Downside is the cutouts for the side radiator tubes need to be offset, I made do with bending the metal out of the way. It took over 8 feet of tubing to plumb, but that's the only way to build this case IMHO otherwise it looks empty. like my wallet. Came from a IN-WIN 303, good idea, an absolute nightmare to build in and it suffered the too small of feet to effectively draw in air, coupled with the MB being too close to the fans- effectively blocking most of your MB SATA, usb ports and even your power button headers.

I want to get a new case when I upgrade to zen 3. Mine's from like 2012 and a little busted up, but has phenomenal airflow; mesh on front, top, side, and bottom. But holy hell modern cases are really frustrating. Everything is form over function now. Cooling performance usually takes a backseat to looks. Like you put 3 or 4 case fans on it out of the box, and then cover them with plastic or glass so they suck in less air? It's ridiculous. This stuff matters, a lot, especially if you don't plan on doing watercooling (like me. That said, I'm currently browsing around. Trying to find something with a mesh front and 12V RGB, primarily. Suggestions are appreciated.

Not sure why mesh cases are the thing? I mean mesh was the thing like 10-20 years ago and it was ugly then and its ugly now too. None of these cases looked impressive AT ALL. Infact they all look severly downgraded from prior years. except the thermaltake which looked really nice. If i wanted a bland ugly ass case ill pull out my case from 2004. I'll stick with my Thermaltake view 71 i bought in 2018. No reason to get a new case if you spent 200 on one in the last few years IMO. But seriously whats with this mesh trend? who wants to have nothing but thing cheap looking plastic all over their case

Well. Compare to my ANTEC Signature S10 (who have many years) all cases you present in this vid are shitti, i mean realy, this is low cost cases but in high price. Signature s10 is made of full aluminium 5mm for the doors (4 doors) so very silent, got amovible filters everywhere (in rack so not tools, no nothing, just take it and clean without touch your fan, a lot of place inside, separate frontal part for disks, passages for cables. this case got litteraly everything. I search for similare case for years but never find one even at 700 (i pay 175 my S10. If you have suggestions i take it.

Please please please. Tell case manufactures that making cases that can stand both vertical and horizontal increases their functionality greatly. And from what I can tell, sometimes it could be as simple as screwing in some feet. I just built rig. Cooler Master HAF XB EVO. Excellent design for video editing system. Swappable hard drive bays for keeping off site storage of data back ups. Lots of airflow for quieter cooling. Got a massive but slower fan pushing air down on mb and away rather than across side to side. I honestly did not see any cases in this vid that was better than I got.

I havent bought a new case since 2011. Been through thousands of dollars of upgrades but never changed from my trusty NZXT Phantom. I think it's due time for a nice upgrade but I cant say I really like any cases in this video. I like cases that show of the internals but in a subtle way. I dont want a big plain black box but I also dont want a case that screams gamer fortnight boi in my bedroom having a gay pride rave with all the lights. Someone needs to come out with a case for adults with style. Cause tight now it feels like theres no in between

I spent 120 on my H500P and replaced the front panel with a 20 mesh front after watching your negative video. They also seemed to have adopted a screw for top panel. I hope to use it for two builds because that was 2X more than I spent on my 2013 case. The openbox NZXT I had chosen for the build was missing a controller and fans, so I had to make a last minute decision so I could build that day after saving up. After getting the front mesh and removing a couple of the metal panels I am happy with the thermals. 5. 0G 8700K on air 35C idle.

Im a HVAC Tech and the number 1 rule for airflow is (Airflow in = Airflow out) Also its easier to think of airflow like a liquid, its going to take a path of least resistance, as well as heat rises. The less that a case and setup creates obstacles the easier / and quieter it will cool. With any case, its best to have any spot for a fan filled with the biggest one thats fits there. Also you cant clean the filters to ofter. They are so thin it doesn't take much to reduce airflow or its pulled from airleaks in unwanted spots.
