Until 12:00PM ET 12/31/22, 10% of ALL SALES on the GN store will go towards equipment purchases for our local public high school s computer engineering classroom! We will also donate 1 ESD product per order, up to 150 orders, as the school has requested ESD products for students. The class teaches PC hardware components, installation, building, programming, operating system management, CISCO and SAS certifications, and more. Their hardware is extremely dated (and a lot of it is just destroyed from a decade of handling by students), so we're helping them replace it with newer equipment!

ARC DRIVER ISSUE- Here's my experience with V3959. It caused a run away memory leak with Windows 11 Desktop Windows Manager (dwm.exe). It increased it's memory usage at rate of approx. 1MB every 2 seconds. Mem usage increases indefinitely until finally causing a Windows mini (my name) crash. Display goes blank and audio drops out. Crash lasts for about 10-20 seconds and then recovers. Windows doesn't have to re-start...video and audio just stop, and then re-start. This identical crash can be induced by ending process tree from drop down action using Task Manager or Resource Monitor with dwm.exe. Reverting to earlier driver corrects the problem completely (and duplicate-able). While searching for a fix it seems apparently this is an old problem with Intel graphics drivers as there are numerous references to it from as far back as 2021 and into early 2022 (before ARC release). I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this?
Thx ... DT

I doubt the matt thing with Intel is inherently sinister. Might be that enough people in the development side of Intel saw these and wanted them and turned to their requisitions division to get a bunch for use or reference for their own make and from there, the people who'se job it is to get stuff got a bit overzealous. I wouldn't be surprised if that type of creepy cutthroat approach is standard issue as they are used to dealing with large orders of materials or very expensive stuff. Places where 1% of a price difference can still mean a million bucks.
It's just so... incredibly childish and low bar if it were some weird dig at GN's income.
As for the giant egg chair... I mean... it's cool. Having it would at the very least hinder me from slouching and turning into some kind of human slime that somehow folds in on itself as time goes on. There really isn't much room for that kind of bad posture.

Definitely shitty of Intel. Even if it's a large company they should be aware of the optics of this. The supplier put it pretty direct it was a conflict. Past that I don't buy the disconnect excuse. Even if all the information they had was that email from the supplier the fact they decided to still pursue is messed up. It lets you know even in the most favorable scenario that Intel is perfectly fine turning a blind eye to this while still benefiting from the PR they get from reviews. GN may give them pass for being too big and hoping it's an honest mistake but my wallet wont.

GN: Hey, Intel, your marketing is funny and all, but you look like clowns in it and talk about weird stuff instead of interesting things about your products. Just a thought.
Butthurt Intel marketing exec: oh really? Well let's then disrupt the income of your small business, try to damage your industry relations like we used to do with AMD, then steal your design and rebrand it with the least popular gaming product we have at hand and see how gamers will rejoice and redirect your pocket change income to us! Check mate GN!

I have noticed a limited amount of water blocks for all the new cards. They are expensive too! Man it is cheaper to get last gen and then get waterblocks. Hopefully production of these water blocks will get better as more come out but EK is pretty limited at this time for what they are offering. It is expensive to water cool now may have to get one from the Third party where they put waterblocks on them but that gets pricey too! Good Stuff Steve and Gamers Nexus Happy NEW YEAR should be a good one for gaming I am hoping.

My guess is the rtx 4070 Ti is going to come out at 799. And it s going to be around 10 to 20 percent slower than the 4080 but it s still going to be better than the 3090 Ti I m not sure tho maybe it would make more sense if I look at the benchmark. But the important part is the rtx 4070 it s going to be 699 and will match the rtx 3090 Ti. So it will probably go out of stock the fastest. And we re going to see scalping for a few months to a year until the inevitable high end price decline(4080 and 7900XTX).

20:24 I m betting Intel s next step is to attempt to purchase GN s supply company it seems to be how they ve done some stuff in the past and how huge companies like them can work sometimes. Want to control or have something that has something you want or does it better? Buy them and absorb the patents in the purchase.
I seriously appreciate GN s charitable assumptions that shows a lot of character! However, I d never underestimate where a tweaked ego might motivate someone to do.

It is suspicious at best looking for a specific local supplier. It is clearly what it is: intel showed an attempt to cut GN from his supplier. I hope it is just some midlevel bozo rogue executive's small dick ego trip. There should be a public cryout on twitter at intel, considering there were twitter freakouts for much smaller mundane things than a multimultibillion dolar company trying to intimidate a reviewer who works for the benefit of consumers.

I've been in manufacturing for years from automotive to sub processes. As mentioned it could be coincidence from Intel. It's very common, especially on the auto side to buy all the competitions products and reverse engineer them to save r&d. It is a crappy method to go to suppliers, but is likely how Intel does it for a majority of their other markets. They have whole supply chain teams dedicated to pricing down vendors and find markets to get into.

mmmm can't wait for that 1000 4070 Ti and 900 4070.
I know what you're thinking: the '4080' 12GB was originally 900, why would the 4070 Ti be 1000? .
Because GPU makers have lost their minds, that's why. I checked the 200-350 range today at a local retailer for a friend. Best they could get was an ASUS Phoenix 1660 Super. A single fan blower version of a two generation old non-RTX card. For 389 . Which I paid 200 3 years ago. Insane.

15K chair/pod is probably intended for Gaming Hotels or High End Net Cafe's and to lesser extent the Whales who need to burn money. It still overpriced though, at 15k I expect the monitor/s and complete gaming PC set to be included. They also missed the upgrade/upsell, models with racing/flight sim capability ex hydraulics for massive immersion. All bling not much functionality tsk coolermaster what a letdown...

So damn glad I went with AMD for my new PC upgrade after watching that.
Because that looks vindictive, and Intel should be ashamed.
I'm glad you shared that. Any vendor bullying/revenge on reviewers (no matter who they are) is never ok .
Because it can impact how products are reviewed, either because the reviewer is scared to go hard, or because the community hate the behavior. Neither is good.

Best product this time was probably that chair ... I just think they should have included an toilett-option, if that thing really takes 10 minutes to open, that might have been probably better than a subwoofer...
Nah, jokes aside, yeah - 15-20k is probably not that much, especially if you have the space to fit that thing, chances are, that you can afford buying it, without breaking a bank.

Had no idea Patrick Stone was a teacher! Super cool! Also pretty awesome that you guys are donating to his school. Awesome idea. Just went ahead and bought my 3rd shirt from you guys because of this! Also because you were out of stock, but since you mentioned you restocked a lot of the designs I just went for it lol. Anyways, love you guys! Looking forward to the upcoming EVGA video :)
