Inflation. I'm pretty sure your staff are not getting paid what they were paid 5 or even 2 years ago. I would rather buy the fans I prefer. If a case manufacturer also sells fans, they could offer a discount if you buy their fans along with their case. To RGB or not to RGB.
On your noise and thermals charts, shade the right axis for where you (most) feel it's becoming too loud/too hot. Relative noise/cooling comparisons are nice but noting what you (most) feel are acceptable ranges would also be helpful.
While the Arctic LF AIOs perform really well, they do not top mount in the Corsair Carbide Air 540, Fractal North original or the King 95. My guess is the LF series and especially Hytes new AIO will not top mount in most cases. Just a bit more vertical clearance needed for the thicker fans and radiators.
PowerColor HellHound 7900 GRE versus their 7900XTX: The performance difference is not noticeable, BUT the smaller (not as thick) cooler causes it to ramp up and down ALOT while the XTX just purrs along. $400 give or take a few dollars is a ton to pay for really quiet and a bit more performance (AMD software recording). Both GPUs in a X570s--5800X3D (Fractal North) and then with an ASUS (gulp) MB and 7800X3D (King 95 mesh, glass and no front panel).

I've got a black Y60 and absolutely love it! The build quality as you said Steve is outstanding. I'm happy to see them continue that route while making improvements. I'm torn about the fans not being included, they probably realize that most people who are building a PC are going to either have their own fans or want to install an entire ecosystem like Corsair. So rather than the consumer having to uninstall all the case fans to put their own in they just stopped putting them in. Granted they need to be charging less for this because of that, I can't see the size making the components that much more than the Y60.
That AIO they make is amazing and wish I had waited a few months before I built my system kus I would have saved a lot of time and money dealing with Corsair -_- I'd never buy a Corsair case especially if it's got that classic Corsair markup, with a crappy build quality... just like all their other products. HYTE is killing it! I can't believe a company copied them completely, didn't even try to hide it... and failed lol the case looks like it was made by children lol

I think the 4k claim for the screen is totally valid. What they are trying to get across is that it has the same pixel density and sharpness as a full sized 4k screen. Of course it’s obvious to any half-sentient person that that screen is not a full sized screen. It’s clearly missing half the pixels due to its unique form factorno one expects it to have the same amount of pixels as a full screen. What people want to know is how sharp the image is. Putting the PPI on the marketing wouldn’t mean anything to 99% of consumers, because no one is familiar with those values. Most people do know how sharp 4k screens are though, so using that to denote PPI is totally permissible in such an obviously niche and unique screen.
This overly-pedantic approach can be a bit exhausting with you guys sometimes.

Was lucky and got my hands on a Y70 Touch (Red) close to release, and holy hell I love this damned thing. Building in it was great, my GPU CPU loop with dual 360 rads looks amazing in it, and the screen is a fun little thing to mess with and have my hardware info on, or a calculator, or play Tetris, lol. Plus their customer service was amazing; had a bad front I/O on my unit, and within an hour of my initial email, they'd written back twice and had a new front I/O kit sent out to me, only needing my case's serial number and an address to ship to. I'll fully admit, it's a vanity case that's more looks than anything, but so far my temps are holding great, and I couldn't be happier with how it looks on my desk.

Logos, logos, logos! Logos everywhere! Sometimes it does get excessive. I am reminded of your Unhinged Rant About Motherboards with all the logos and edgy one liners like, Hardcore Born Gamer or whatever written across the product. It can actually impact my decision to buy. Two products that come to mind are the Asus TUF Z790 pro tat says something like Last One Standing and Got Your Back and ULTIMATE FORCE all squeezed on the I/O cover. The other is the Dark Base Pro 901 case. It just has DARK BASE PRO stamped large enough to see from the space station stamped on the PSU shroud. It's tacky. Nowadays when you build a rig, it often looks like it belongs on a NASCAR track.

09:04 Hey, that's SR-3 Dark, I have one of those!
No one makes crazy mobos like that anymore, there are WRX90 and W790 Sage, but those don't have a cool VRM waterblock...
A bit outdated, but I'm still using a W-3175X build with that board.
And that EK CPU block too, had to sand 1.5mm from the sides to be able to use DIMMs with heatsinks in the slots closest to the CPU.
The block is in direct-die mode, had to machine a custom frame to make that happen.
And the only good looking case I could outfit with enough cooling for W-3175X to be relatively cool was Corsair 1000D, took out the upper rails to be able to cram 4x Quantum Surface P480M rads.

I bought the Y60 last year. I added a LCD screen inside the case (with a 3D printed piece). I chose the Y60 over the Lian-Li 011D as I thought it was more aesthetically pleasing especially with my end goal of a high-end liquid cooled build. I looked at the Fractal North and while beautiful wasn't for me, as I'm not into the minimalist aesthetic and it would hide components I wanted to display. Your review is spot on though. The thermals are an issue especially with the 40 series of GPUs as I've had to remove the side glass panel to allow for better airflow until I find the time to modify my GPU to be liquid cooled.

In a day and age where phones sell $800-1000 over their real value, simply because there is a specific logo on them, I get that a case series like this exists and gets sold.
And I'm actually pleasantly surprised that Hyte puts real effort in not only looking good and striving to be a premium namebrand, but also puts effort in actually improving the function of what they sell.
Even with the rather crummy airflow, the Y60 sells rather well. So for them to step up their game with the Y70, not in looks, but in improving almost every cooling characteristic of the case, that gets a genuine bravo from me.

4:55 If you put the case on the side or you tilt your head 90 degrees, then the touch display is actually 4K.
Because the moniker 4K indicates the approx. horizontal resolution, i.e., the approx. number of pixels per line (4K == approx. 4000 pixels per line), not how many pixels the overall display has.
So, if you keep the display in portrait mode as it is in the case, it's actually a 1K display (1100 x 3840). Whereas if you put the case on the side and the display therefore being in landscape mode, it's a 4K display (3840 x 1100). You are confusing the moniker 4K with UHD...

all the cases you mentioned that compare with the hyte one are the o11d, o11d ripoff#1 , o11d ripoff#2.... after the previous piece of k9 doo doo that is the y40 it's nice that they didn't remove all the fun bits of the case, but kinda disappointing at the same time is that they didn't come out with something more interesting. I don't mind the 1 way of building PCs in that case, if you look at most of what is sold by SIs it's TG glass and RGB fans, most in the o11 layout. As long as a case does something interesting I will be fine if there is only 1 way to build a pc in it.

I recently built a system with this case and the riser DOES NOT work well. I could not get it to slot into the rear io and the pcie slot without a lot of force, and it still didn't fully insert with some of the gold contacts exposed. Then pulling it out was a nightmare and i actually ruined some of the metal covering on the pcie slot of my brand new taichi lite. What i ended up doing was disassembling the plastic bit on the riser and just sticking the cable in and ignore the rear IO piece entirely. Works better now and easier to take it out and put it back in.

why do you need to stay on a fixed lane, fly instead. fully customized everything the case. who would use sata3 or 2.5inch drives any more. or eve 3.5inch drives. yep you can get to very small if you just use m.2 and the motherboard default stuff. I mean case space and extra nonsense not having to be there. keep it simple case manufacturers. does not have to be that complex. so why you need case manufacturers to customize a case for you. instead take a frame than an user can customize. freely. duct your own air flow in case.

I just built a new rig (finally!) last week, and I was really torn between a Hyte case and the Fractal North. I ended getting the North XL cause it came 3 pre wired 120x fans. Saved me $45. But to be honest the real reason I chose fractal is I learned ibuypower was associated with Hyte. Maybe thats not fair, but its just how my thought process went. I will say though, in general, it is so worth paying a premium for a nice case. It just makes everything so much easier.
Keep up the great work guys!!

I decided to throw logic to the wind, splurged on a PC build that focused more heavily on aesthetics, and maaaan...seriously love my Hyte Y60 case. I'm definitely going to be building in that thing for many years to come. I'm glad the Y70 is carrying the torch with build quality and appearance, because while I understand people really want to optimize that bang for the buck, seeing that Y60 case proudly displayed as I walk into a room really just brings a sense of illogical euphoria to me.

I could not wait and ordered the y70 touch case when it came out lol. I feel like running with no top makes it run cooler. Nexus software is decent but I had a few issues getting it working. Seems better now but if you leave Nexus up it will stop your screens from going to sleep. I am running a 360mm arctic freezer 3 on the top with no issues. I have both side and bottom intake along with one rear exit and the freezer 3 on the top as an exit. Seems to work really well.

after switching from the old first gen Fractal Meshify C to a Dan A4 H2O recently I can't imagine ever going back to larger cases like this. I think they're cool but these wide-boy dual chamber designs have over saturated the market at this point to make everyone's show-off build look identical (throw in the all-white builds with the Gigabyte Aero cards carrying the entire community on their backs) - funny how something fairly original can suddenly become the norm.

Picked up the Asus GT502 (lian li 011 clone) back when it launched. It's a solid premium case, but after switching from Air to AIO, I'm starting to want more space to work with along with vertical mounted GPU support. Switching to a Hyte has always been a thought, but quite frankly it's not much better. This larger version definitely has some appeal, though not as much as one would think. The Gamdias Peso series seems like a better designed case.

Sorry could you repeat the cost for me again
Just goes to show that RGB/Frizz sells products.
Is it a good case Yes. But there’s no way you’re catching me spend that type of money on a case alone and my setup is around 7-8K. People who purchase this care too much for RGB/LCD displays . Id buy these cases for 150$ nothing more. Machine produced steel and glass doesn’t deserve to be sold for almost 250$

PCs probably not too many years from not being a thing anymore, and the tiny PC DIY hobby getting smaller and smaller, aesthetics is about all we'll have left. For me that's a lot of the fun after building PC's for so long. It's now easy to toss together a high performance PC, but taking the time to ask 'how can I make this look good/cool/unique' is kind of the fun part now.

I would love to see some 50-100$ price range cases comparison to those 200$ cases. Those 100$ can get a higher tier gpu up until 4080/7900xtx or better cpu, more memory, another ssd stick for those who never have enough storage or that more expensive S-tier psu on cultists' list. For me, any other component upgrade is higher on priority list than a case.
