16:42 This moment hit me hard. It reminded me of the absolute kindness and genuine respect we used to have in Americaespecially at the small business level, 20 years ago. I used to run a small business, and people would walk in with questions, curiosity, and trust. And we always made time for each other. That’s gone now.
We don’t have that spirit anymore. Malls are empty or being demolished, communities are scattered, and if something isn’t shipped to our front door, we don’t want it. No more face-to-face connection. No more walking shoulder to shoulder with strangers who felt like neighbors.
Now, just making eye contact can offend someone. What happened to us It’s honestly heartbreaking. The internet has stolen our culture. What we hadthe warmth, the connection, the shared spaceit’s not coming back. And watching this seeing how your culture still values people, face-to-face kindness, and real connectionit made me emotional. You don’t realize how beautiful it is because you haven’t lost it yet.
Please don’t take that for granted. We did. And now we’re living in the wreckage.

The lady who was showing you their fans was super cool man. I love the Chinese people. I dont understand why we have to make trouble betweeb us. Im not blaming China, and im not blaming my country. We've accomplished a lot in 400 short years, but they have existed in and out of turmoil and conquest for like 10,000 years. Theyve done a lot of very inhumane things in that time and theres people in power there that still live that way. My country has done a lot of messed up stuff, but I just cant begin to compare the morality between countries that hate each other. If there is animosity, there is supremacy, and supremacy will be the end of my species. No, white man is not bad, no, man is not bad, it is all bad, we are all bad.

Man I miss Hong Kong. My dad was in the Royal Navy so got stationed over at HMS Tamar naval base over there in the early 80s (not long after he came back from the Falklands War), and it was the most amazing experience I ever had as a kid. The lights, the crowds, markets, food, everything. It's where I came into contact with technology for the very first time with the OG Atari console, followed by the Apple IIE computer. I really miss that period, it was just unreal. I'm just happy I got to experience it all. Though the typhoons were scary as hell (Typhoon Ellen was brutal).

Thats what i was thinking about intel CPU's, they seem to give more cores shading units and tops than the competition for similar performance.
I guess that it's mostly drivers and I would hope as these improve the B580 would get even better performance.
It isn't hard for AMD to build something better than the 5090, it would just be bigger and if they sold it for the same price their margins would be non existent or negative.

I used to own an Inno3D x2 1070, it was actually quite nice for literally the cheapest 1070 I could buy at the time.... A very industrial design with odd exposed screws in the corners. I think it's in my sister's computer now. They used to do weird stuff like strapping a tiny fourth fan to the side of the card, but from what I remember from reviews it didn't really do all that much

I’m in HK for a few days and looking to buy a 5080 astral. Can you recommend a decent shop please Mainland prices are crazy so I wanna buy it here, a last missing peace in my new full ROG build. Also, shopkeepers don’t mind speaking Mandarin but many young honkongers despise mainland so it’s better to speak either English or Cantonese in bars, from my experience.

I love these tour videos, it's nice to see places I will probably never visit, but would love to get lost in. Unrelated, but I got to meet Rob Teller and thanked him for being a part of your tariff series, I loved the portions with him in it. Funnily enough it was in an anime convention (Anime Expo) so it wasn't tech-related but he was really chill in person.

I live in HK now. Golden is the biggest mall for Computer peripherals sale and repairing. It is on the Kowloon side, a district called Shum Shui Po. It is right next to the subway station there. People are mostly friendly there. Most goods are sold at fixed prices. No need for negotiations. Most of the shops sell Genuine models with warranty.

Hey Steve, if you have a choice between mandarin or English in Hong Kong, just speak English. You look white so you won't get any of the racism if you do speak mandarin but it's a bit weird. Also, wan chai computer market is pretty good too. And the computer markets in Hong Kong aren't haggling markets even if you didn't have the camera on you.

These stores are so cool , I'm sure I would be lost in there for hours ... The shop you buy the centrifugal fan was so nice , I was amazed with the variety of pro fans available ... and sad you waste money on that 5050 ... I was expecting something like 80 to 90 $ top , hope you manage to cook that thing on the tests ...

I don't speak mandarin, but I'm loving the Steve mandarin content - it is has a wholesome earnest vibe that i have a hard time putting into words. I can speak a couple european languages, but I have a really hard time with pitched languages. Working through conversations where your vocabulary fails you is so relatable!

Been to Hung Kong many times as my wife is from New Territories. Going into those types of shopping arcades is always a wild time, but you can also find almost any service you need there in terms of repair. I normally would not go in July as beyond the heat the humidity there is brutal now. Enjoy your time in HK.

What was it with the 5080 though Was that a card that is exclusive to China, or something The shop guy said he put it there for you, but it seems as though you didn't even know he did that (or why). Oh well, good video, nice to see you have fans all over the world and you even took some home with you!

This is crazy, I was literally just in Hong Kong last week and visited the Golden Arcade, I bought some computer tools and accessories as well as Switch 2 games and stuff. The price is really good and the selection is insane. Always browse around and compare prices first!

A720 has probably worst fans ever. It makes cracking sounds and lower RPM and annoying high pitched sound at higher RPM, no matter the speed sound is horrible. Changed it to Noctua nhd15g2, wild difference, can't hear the cooler anymore. ID-COOLING A720 is garbage..

I was in the same shop on Saturday for a new NAS HD. I’ve been going to Golden Centre since the mid 80s when they sold cloned Apple 2s. It’s still the best place to shop for tech in HK. Sorry I didn’t see you there. Lots of cheap classic HK food nearby also.

China has a culture of haggling, you should spit ball 10% off just for the hell of it. Of course they have 5090s, what was expected when trying to limit exports to China They'll just go to a country USA allows sales to and ship them back to China.

Comparing the huge amount of help you guys got from the fantastic guy in the 5050 store to the usual customer treatment we get in large EU stores (and also online) is like night and day. Imagine a world where everyone was so kind and helpful to each other.
