How to Connect Roku to Alexa (and why you might not want to) I hate it I have a Roku and it will go to whatever I want to watch but there’s no way to make it play I tell Alexa to play it but nothing happens I lose my remote all the time and Alexa is really no help they need to change that or what’s really the point of having Alexa if it’s not going to work properly with Roku\r\n

I have all of these steps complete but I'm running into a recurring problem. I have to turn my tv on first before I can get Alexa to turn it on and off and open applications. I'd like to be able to turn the TV on while I'm away if necessary. Anyone have this issue and know how to fix it

Yes you are correct I can turn my roku tv on/off and check a few different apps but for some reason it won't control the volume unless you have some cool trick for me to change that if not I'll just have to use the remote. Thanks for the video!

Hey I'm having a hard time with this I don't think that it exists on my TCL Roku TV it says sorry we cannot find your any device to link and I did everything step by step it's just not letting me go through I'm giving up

Says there are no ROKU devices linked to your account when I try to link it! I signed into my ROKU account on the mobile app. A friend gave me his ROKU streaming device so maybe that’s a problem

The only thing Alexa does is turn my Roku tv off and on,and volume up or down;If I ask her to launch an app,she says something about not finding any enabled video skills.

Are the certain models that won’t allow this to happen I have the basic Roku and even though it seems to be set up to Alexa, nothing happens when I try to control it.

Definitely not, interested in having any Nazi eavesdropping devices in my home. In fact, my goal, is to get rid of all satanic globalist monitoring technology!

This doesn't work on tcl roku when trying to turn on the TV. I have fast start enable. The light comes on but not the actual desktop . It does turn the TV off.

Thanks for your excellent directions plus the extra FYIs were great. I have a roku and fire tv and you cleared up a ot of the confusion between the two.

Thanks for the tutorial! I am still not sure about Roku, definitely have to do more research. Definitely seems like most prefer Roku as their choice.
