7 Best TV Streaming Providers Review From DIRECTV NOW to YouTube TV I dont know about the rest of you, but the deal-breaker with the existing streaming TV services can be summed up in one word- COMMERCIALS! I despise them. Theyre an assault on intelligence, especially when only one ad is played over and over. When Im paying $40 per month on top of the $70 I already spend on internet, having to watch a plethora of commercials every time I want to watch a program is maddening. The fake DVR offered by streaming services is a lie. On most anything youve recorded thats worth watching, you MUST watch the commercials. If you FF over them, they stack them and make you watch them all at once in a series before your video continues! On a REAL DVR, you can FF over anything and resume watching instantly at the point you stop, without the PENALTY of having to watch a bunch of ads first. I hate to admit it, but cable seems the way to go. Nobody hates the giant bill worse than me, but I guess you get what you pay for.\r\n

You make a good point about DVRs. I don’t think YTTV has the best interface but it rocks in unlimited and 9 month duration. Where I don’t like it is you can’t remove or delete individual shows on YTTV DVR. If you delete something it takes out the whole season.
For my situation, I have unreliable internet in the country so cutting the cord requires the recordings to be on my home network such as with TiVo, Tablo, Plex, or similar. Not everyone has bad internet so that is more my problem than your average viewer I would suspect. Great review!

Hulu interface isn’t bad if you’re used to using Hulu anyways and the beer value would be direct tv or Hulu imho . Hulu offers they huge on demand offerings included in the price which kinds of offsets their limited included DVR which you probably only ever need for sports and direct tv offers HBO for $5 a month which is the cheapest ever

I have suddenlink and my problem is billing. I have been with them 5 months and they mess up my billing every month! I was suppose to have automatic pay but they kept forgetting to charge my card. Now I signed up for paper billing only and I am still waiting on a bill! I have to find a reliable company somewhere!

none of these options match my Dish package at $84 per month total which includes Dishanywhere.I've tested PS Vue and Sling...they are ok but their signal is 720P not 1080i......they also need their add on packages to get close, but not quite, to my Dish package......I'm still waiting on a better package to come out

I disregard any AT&T option because of their contracts. They offer great introductory prices as bait to hook you into a long term, Expensive contract. I love choices (especially if I'm not on a contract commitment). Playstation vue has worked out great for me and my family.

called dtv to report service problem on chs. 359,360,361. service rep could not speak english (her spelling) ask to speak to superviser (her spelling) I was told I had to pay for a service charge or take out a servace agrement. no help at all. still no help.GOOD BY ATT.

PlayStation Vue is the best choice for a family with multiple viewers. Ticks all of the boxes. It may cost a bit more, but you get shat you pay for. Cut the cord a year ago with PS Vue. Haven’t looked back since. Nobody has caught them yet. I’ll keep looking though

Reliability needs to be considered in these reviews. I have had DirecTV Now since day 1 and it goes down pretty often. It went down Thanksgiving morning for like 4 hours for thousands of users. No Holiday parade, no football and support had no answers.

Having cut the cords years ago and have been deciding on a streaming place....I wish you had mentioned Netflix because so many of my friends use it. I AM going to check out Philo though since this is the first I have heard of it...thanks!!

You leave out the number of allowed streaming devices. I go with PlayStation Vue since I can have 5 devices at once no upcharge, perfect for a house with more that one device. Also you do not take in account the on demand options.

Wondering if this video is sponsored by DirecTV Now. They have the most buffering/video issues and their customer service is pretty much nonexistent. I was victim, and look at the comment section...
