Will DIRECTV NOW Survive 2019 It was inevitable that all of these services would rip us off even more than they were. No way the prices would go down and all of the full selection services started at $30 - $40. They are all going to keep running prices up until they hit the max they can take. And I just cant imagine they will do ala carte. Even if they do it will be set up just like cable so nearly everyone pays just as much, maybe even more. About the only people who win would be someone with very limited interests. Hate to be a downer, but someone may finally do ala, which would really take off, and that may start a stampede of that. But once again they will adjust and raise to get into the usual situation of the max they can rape us for. Until these companies all take on the content providers, which is who really runs the money show we are screwed.\r\n

AT and T wants to bankrupt DTV on purpose. It is a systemic choke hold to drain it's cusotmer base then sell it off. It is very common for expiring business models to get bought and squeezed out. that in itself is a business practice. It is death row designed to practice end of life business ideas before the auctioneers show up. Executives buy in long enough to fake bail out then the Executives bail with bags of money. The bird bath dish on the roof design is headed to the Hospice. Directv and AT and T aren't worried-they are just setting up the tables and chairs now for the auction.

Besides the prices, Directv Now has the worst streaming service. Playback on desktop or phone always freezes on recorded programs and they are a bunch of professional liars. Offer you a credit or discount and then don't follow through. I had a month left on my promotion but they deducted more than they should have a month early...I'm done with them. Only online support, no phone support...BYE!!!

I’m glad they lost it all. It’s starting from original directTV. They try everything to take every penny from us, even if you are 10 or 20yrs loyalty customer. When you leave them, they’re even worse to try to get more pennies from us. I see their reputation is getting bad in the past year. I see lot of customers are leaving them. My personal is that they are pain in the Azz.

they've outsourced their customer service since I last spoke with them - and they screwed me out of $350 when they automatically restarted my service despite our home still being remodeled with no one inhabiting it - so my opinion is they will go by the way of the dinosaur - and dealing with their customer service today - they deserve to........

Direct tv is a bad joke of a company, which I didn't know was affiliated with AT&T, but that makes perfect sense, as they suck also.
Due to their crappy, dishonest and just generally terrible business practices and contempt for their customers, I will never, EVER do business with EITHER of them again.

Only a matter of time. No more new sats and the back end for now and their regular service is the same now. And they started beta testing the new box that does direct tv over the internet wo the dish. Not going to be long before these streaming OTT services cost just as much cable

I have cable and my neighbor in our apartment wanted direct TV.They put the dish blocking my window and ruining my beautiful view. The direct TV guy was very arrogant about it.it gave me a very bad taste in my mouth for direct TV!

Sony Vue is the best steaming service/app until they raised their prices few times. They r dead to me since. I hope the new Apple TV and Disney TV would force both direct tv and Vue to either lower their prices or just go bankrupt..

If I wasn't grandfathered in I'd cancel my DTV Now subscription. The new prices are that of traditional cable TV. Crazy ridiculous pricing! And we all thought streaming cable was going to be the answer to traditional cable. Hahaha!!
reply

AT&T knew exactly what they were doing.I think they purposely screwed-up DirecTV Now to get you to either switch to the satellite or AT&T U-Verse.They can charge more for traditional cable.than the streaming service.

Att bought them and now they suck, more money, the equipment sucks, The dvr doesnt record all of your progams, or records 100 times a day when you tell it not to, im thinking about ditchen them for good!
reply

Canceling DTV Now right before my billing for April happens & going to Philo. It has enough of what we watch. I cannot justify $65/month for my currently grandfathered package & HBO that I don't want!
reply

My problem is the DVR features. I would be migrating from traditional Cable/Sattelite and really want to do this, but not having a traditional DVR with enough space to save hundreds of programs stops me.
reply

THE ONLY WAY tht DIRECT will survive is if it is sold to a company that knows what they are doing...PERIOD...AT&T will b bankrupt and with OUT warning...AT&T should have NEVER been allowed to buy Directv...
reply

AT&T needs to take your advice. I'm about to leave my damn self! I just wish they'd go back to the original plans/prices or your idea & I'd definitely stay. They need to hire you or they will tank!
reply

Direct TV sucks! Just they're regular TV sucks! They have raised they're price over $32 from when Verizon had it. I'm looking right now on dropping them to do something different.
reply

Apple should have launched a la carte TV. That would disrupt the industry and they got the money and brand to make it work. Give the people what they want.
reply

If they keep raising prices and setting up packages that are almost as expensive as standard DirecTV, they should fail. I'm certainly ready to quit.
reply

I was on Primestar then Directv . Since AT&T took over it went to hell. I got out and went back to free antenna TV and will never pay for that crap again.
reply

I am already looking around again. I switched to Directvnow and they sent me a message saying they are going up to $65 a month. That's crazy.
reply

They charge my mom $140 a month we are leaving and going to hulu TV live after 20 years being with them they give us no loyalty discount
reply

dtvnow is the bomb.com. I cut the cord because of it. Aside from the app sometimes being a little wonky on appleTV, it's been flawless.
reply

Why I was stuck in a contract for 2 years A crazy amount of money to watch infomercials. I'd never go back, hope they tank.
reply

No saving if DTVN is needed. ATT is phasing it out. Just look at their WatchTV app. It’s identical to their DTVN app.
reply

only content direct TV in losing is customers from Direct TV now and regular cable with ppl cutting cord, bye bye DT
reply

2 things I learned from this video: 1. I agree with your true a la carte idea. 2. I'm not switching to DirecTV now.

Am so grateful to wirmonhackers, com for the legitimate account funding they did for me. I’ll keep working with you guys
