Before flowblade has a fresh look.
I saw one of the old video tutorial about how to make a transition between clips and it was awful.
But now with a refreshing new GUI appearance might want to make the users to forget about Mac OS and Windows once and for all although we have a long way to go but these steps shows that we are taking a good step-by-step to give them a different variants of application for productivity. And hopefully for native games to be ported to Linux kernel, but productivity is a higher priority right now which are such as unity3d which is still in beta but we somehow need it to port to GNU/Linux as stable as possible.

After months of using Manjaro, my install broke recently - at least so far as the GUI no longer worked. I was ready for a change anyway and planned to switch back to Vanilla Ubuntu. I couldn't get it to install (I googled and found some suggested workarounds but none of them worked for me.
So I decided to try Linux Mint. And I really like Cinammon. KDE and Gnome are both fine but I was never totally in love with either. Since I use Windows 7 at work and Windows 10 for gaming, this seems like the best compromise. And honestly it is nice to note have to compile things anymore.

That part about opensource and what constitues open source i just hear some people saying No true scotsman fallacy also known as appeal to purity fallacy. And i am one of them you cant select what is opensource and what is not by setting some random bounrys if it is open, source is shown either to some people or to all, that by deffinition and logic is opensource and if it is not it isnt you cnat decide that this software isnt becuase it doesnt follow some random rules i decided to impose right now or before hand for some other piece of software

I'd never be able to recommend a GNOME distro to my mom. She's one of those people who wants to tweak every single thing to her liking. More so than myself even. She's also a hardcore gamer. I asked her for help looking for a Linux distro for my old laptop. She said she liked Mint the best (of the options I showed) Probably because it's Windows-like in ways, and as gamers, we both use Windows on our primary rigs. She's used Ubuntu in the past but doesn't particularly care for it.

Yes I agree with the top, I'm very comfortable with arch and it is not hard to use it at all, but maybe I need to think like if I was me 4 years ago where I had no clue what the word linux was.
Ubuntu budgie I think looks better than solus version.

Videos from you is not only educational, but also entertainging. It's really good to see your attitude to what happened in linux world and that is just what I cannot find in other videos. The news is everywhere but your comments are unique and valuable!

Great episode. Open Source is an oft misunderstood and disputed term. The clarification is much appreciated. Also appreciated is the shellbot news. (Monero is awesome, btw) Good info. And good on ya for joining the FSF. They do great work. Cheers!

Great video, as always. I use the Adapta GTK theme on GNOME, but I always used the default shell theme because I like the bar transparent, while Adapta makes it black. If this change gets pushed, I will use the Adapta shell theme.

Awesome news with Distrowatch now including Gentoo on the major dist page. Looking like DT might be getting some clout in the Linux community. Good on you, man; )
