DT, can you review and install Refracta (a new version was just released) or Devuan? I'd like to try a systemd-less for an older laptop, but I am confused as these distros don't seem to have an easy way to install codecs and/or drivers.

What is the target audience for this distro? Migrators from Windows/Mac, business users, those fed up with Ubuntu, devs, creators, sysadmin? I just don't see how it stands out from every other offering out there.

Is there a reason why you're preferring vlc over mpv? I like mpv better because it's a very minimalistic keyboard/config file driven media player and I never had problems with it.

I like openbox desktop as well as lxde, lxQT and XFCE lightweight desktops but gentoo I am not going with it. I am stuck with MX linux 18 with openbox.

I have tried the Plasma edition on my laptop, but it wan not good since the live environment stopped working and I couldn't launch the installer.
