Those people are talking about linus and Richard stallman , have no knowledge about history.
In that day even the present day, who have no money , have no right to use Technology ,
Because propriototy software are want a huge amount of money that many people can not afford .
Those who talk about lunus and Richard stallman they don't give anything to linux , that people can benifit.
Linux is made by linus Torvolds and it it license and open source by Richard Stallman, We see where it is linux is our day to day life, phone, washing machine, super coumper, pc, laptop desktop, every living IT hardware.
What those people give to us who talk about Richard Stallman, and linus torvolds ????
Those people listen comedy, rap song, make organozation, where woman are humiliate,
but they don't care, they will say it is just comedy ........
Those people I think are business agenda , and broke linux,
We don't care of these people,
We care linus and Richard Stallman .

I don't necessarily agree with this video, because it seems like you tried to bring out the worst of the worst, when in fact, are they bad clips? Well, not really, because they are having their opinions known, except the very last one. Sure, it's understandable why he was mad, but that's what he did, got mad, a little too much. Though, they are human, and standing up and not sugarcoating anything is rather brave.
They aren't hurting GNU, they're not hurting the Linux kernal, nor adaption; no, they are helping it and always have been. Without them, I truly believe we'd be in a much worse spot than we are. We need them both, they aren't bad people. Stallman says off-putting things from time to time, although not incorrect, but at least he's courageous about it, which was why GNU was even created.
So the answer to the question this video poses is no.

Did they do a great job in Linux/software industry? Yes.
Do I want to work with them? Hell no.
As a CS student I used to dream about my code being merged into Linux kernel, but the more I know about how Linus is like, the less I want to do this because I'm afraid that people who review my commits will use those words on me. I'm not sure whether it's me being hypersensitive or their words are indeed too offensive, but that's what happens when you try to make sth public and accessible by everyone. Having symbols with impolite and rude speech is simply stopping the general public to use/participate in what they do.

As a guy who prefers Windows but uses WSL sometimes for minor linux work, the answer is yes. They are stifling adoption. Besides the fact i need a lot of windows software and its backwards compatibility, the other main reason is the Linux community. In my experience, a lot of the people are very toxic and very antagonistic. I alongside many others just don't wanna deal with that

Torvalds: haha, yeah I guess I can see why people may not find that appropriate
Stallman: REEEEEEEEEEE -eats toenails- I DON'T LIKE THAT QUESTION
Terrible, the pair of them.
I will take it to my grave if I have to but Torvalds is a big healthy slice of human, and I think that's what we need in charge of technology. Not lizard people and money manipulators.

The only thing standing in the way of broader Linux desktop adoption is the (relative to Windows) lack of Linux pre-installation on new machines. The vast majority of computer users out there have never installed an operating system and they simply use whatever is already installed on the computer they can afford, or whatever is provided at their job.

Linux is important... I don't know what Stalman has to offer now, he just seems to piss everyone off... Linux is Linus Torvalds. GNU is a licensing agreement, but beyond that, what has Stalman contributed in the last few decades? I would really like to know!?

I see two people who sometimes speak harsh words, but have great intentions and do good things.
I'll take that any day of the year over typical corporate leaders who always say the right thing, but have selfish intentions and often do the wrong thing.

What? Linus and Stallman speak for themselves. We (others) are using their work and riding their wave. It's a little strange to want to pretend that they speak for anyone other than themselves. We speak for ourselves as well.

I actually agree with most of what he says and even if you don't I hate that cancel culture thinks it's okay to try to change the way he or anyone else feels about what he considers irrelevant subjects
