Was wondering why this didn't work on my iPhone. From the Adversarial Attacks link in the description:
-The presented attack is currently not optimized for over the air attacks. Also it is not tailored for an existing commercial product such as Alexa, Siri, or Cortana, but for the open source Kaldi speech recognition system. However, we think that such an attack, in general, is possible and in future studies, we want to show that the attack also works when the signal is played via a loudspeaker. -
Uhh alright. So it works on nothing popular, and doesn't even work on the target device through a speaker. -

Sounds like it-s time for someone to create a new business making ultrasonic white noise apparatuses.
Very easy and cheap to make, and depending on an individual-s power situation could even have a setup where only one device is required!
Hmm. Maybe I could find a real use for my 3d printer, and soldering skills! Lol -

I've never used or activated a voice assistant device in my life. I'd probably sell an Alexa or whatever, if I was given one. I don't even like seeing the chrome cast appear on the network when I'm trying to watch things on my phone. It's forever asking me if I want to resume on the TV.

This is why everyone should have devices with hardware kill switches, and also why smart devices should change their microphones to only pick up audible frequencies.
For now, if you don't want these vulnerabilities, just use the keyboard, go old fashioned and type it yourself.

I must have really good hearing, because I can hear the electronic noises in the chirping of the birds. Or am I supposed to be able to make out the words too?
Probably doesn't matter, cause if the electronic noises can be heard, then you have a problem.

Also, be careful of the massive number of YouTube videos that stream -calming music- or certain types of -Megahertz healing- audio tracks. This is prime territory for psycho-acoustic: product marketing, programming, behavior modification, etc.

Can anyone actually make out the voice commands? I can't tell if the frequencies are too high for my headset, if I'm deaf, or if the sounds are literally just gibberish that the AI interprets as commands.

Good job: ) time to mess with ppl on party XD i am finaly disclose. Ya i dont use that for bad stuff but this under-acustic stuff we use on old phocall modems 0: ) well history is permanetly repeat.

Thank you for this. alexa was thrown to the wall like 6 yrs ago or more cant remember but i noticed how these things can literally read my mind caught it like 3 times.
