we will learn how to rotate and scale the sample taken in the clone stamp tool to better line up the edges and create more convincing and natural cover-ups! graphicartdude: Wow. Never knew this tip. Thank you very much. Does anyone know of a way to duplicate a layer from one Photoshop document to another without having to right click and chose the appropriate document? I find this very tedious when I'm performing this action a lot. It seems there should be a way to simply drag a layer into another document, but this doesn't work.

So, I don't get it. If you just increase the brush size of the clone stamp tool, wouldn't that also increase the sample size? I mean without doing the alt/shift/bracket trick? If I'm wrong, then this will be a big help. I guess I always thought the sample size increased with the brush size

my color sampling and clone sampling is so slow when I'm editing. Sometimes I click a spot to sample but it still stays in the older sampling spot, so this makes retouching very slow to me. Its been giving me problems since I updated to PHotoshop 2021

So when I create a new layer and try sample, It samples the new layer, which is blank. SO THAT doesn't work for me. Also, When I hold Shift and Alt and Angle brackets, it doesn't rotate, it moves left right up and down.
ANy ideas?

This does not help if you have a european keyboard. They do not have bracket keys. Clone sorce panel is the universal way to do this. Half of the world does not have bracket keys. Keep that in mind please.

Hi! Thanks for an awesome video! The question, when I do this, the clone stamp just goes left or right, it does not rotate. Anyone know why and what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!
reply

How do you rotate it in the opposite way? I only can rotate so the numbers on the rotating scale goes up but not down. I can only rotate it to the left: S
