This video confirms a rather strong suspicion Ive had for a long long time that many of the controls in PS, LR, or any image editing tool are doing the same thing. Perhaps you could say that they are doing the same thing except from a different perspective or a different objective. The reason this is key to understand is because A) you want to pick the tool that best fits your objective but also B) you will have different objectives and the different tools are going to interact with each other. I think it is key to understand this and it will cut down on your frustration I think

Hi Unmesh how are you? I have a question I am working in real estate market i have map in pdf so I want to upload high quality map image (jpeg, png) on website with low size in Kbs, Mbs but not more then 5-10 Mbs. I have a map on 25000px width/height and 300 resolution, so when I changed the size of PDF or jpeg it shows raster please help me in this thank you.

I still remember in one of your hue/saturation videos where you said at the end - Don't just learn 2+2=4, master addition instead.
That is when I actually started learning every tool present in Photoshop. You are indeed with no doubt, very good in Photoshop, but I would rather call you a very good teacher.
Thanks a lot man.

While I would certainly agree that curves can replace many of the tools in photoshop, and many use-cases for hue/sat, curves cannot completely replicate hue/sat. For instance, try completely desaturating a colorful photo with curves. I don't believe it's possible.

Seems we could get rid of the hue/saturation sliders; but do we want to. I believe, in many cases, it's going to be much more convenient than curves.
Well, he does say this in the end; and, for me, this was an interesting and educational video.

Hallo Unmesh, thanks for all the great videos. Question. Can you make a tutorial how to give an object (face or building) depth, when photographed under a casted sky? So make shadows as if it looks the sun shines on the object. Thanks already!
reply

Great job Unmesh.
You are right. You also proved that some of the code in Adobe Photoshop could be removed thus saving space and ram.
This video reminds me of the other video you did about a similar process.

Hello. The subtitles come out automatically in Vietnamese. And it makes the automated translation into Spanish difficult. I don't speak English, but I follow your videos. They are excellent

I was just thinking about it and thought What's the use of hue/saturation. I can simply use curves. but Vala when I opened you tube the 1st video of PiXimperfect is explaining that.

I really have a love-hate relationship with the Curves Adjustment Layer. I know it's powerful, but I just don't get the hang of it.

Shame can't watch his videos anymore. don't have the speed for 4k. why 4k anyway? wonder how many people are having the same issue.
reply

Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could that they didn't stop to think if they should. :D

If he gona make photo editing software, he will only include curves, nothing more like levels and hue saturation.

I am looking for a way do control textures, clarity and dehaze via adjustment layers (or curves. Is there a way?

IDK Why are people wasting thousands of bucks on other learning sites when they can come here for free

Unmesh has proven that Curves is Photoshop's base tool and everything else is based off of it. Exposed!

But for example, color that is not in the scene, will curves help well? Better than hue\saturation.
