Generative fill is completely unusable for me (unusable results when using tiling to do outpainting), and I installed CC24.12. Luckily here is nothing essential in CC25 that I really need.
This brought back the issue in CameraRaw (everything being red and oversaturated for my brand-new HDR monitor setup - less than 1 month old) for PS. But it seems / Bridge opens correctly with this configuration. I thought the oversaturation might an issue with CameraRaw (software not using color profile correctly), but perhaps it really is an issue with how PS is invoking CameraRaw! Weird.
And I should take a memo being more conservative with applying Adobe updates. They always tend to break something

They are insane thinking that AI is a way to go, attacking their main customer base. Regular people are not and will not be using photoshop for quick edits, Canva is leagues ahead in that department and easier to use/free for the most part. This is a mistake that just spells their demise as a company and honestly, good riddance. I'm still using it bc it's really hard to switch with an established professional pipeline but I will be doing serious effort to move completely to CSP next year. I can't believe that we entered the era where Procreate has more integrity than Photoshop. It's bonkers.

Adobe AI is a total disaster. I'm a photographer and I mainly photograph women, it seemed to me that Adobe AI would be a great thing for me when editing, but It's terrible, I will add that I don't take nude or erotic photos, at most they are photos in swimsuits, not even in underwear. Why am I writing about this Because in most photos Adobe detects nudity that is not there! Because of this you cannot use AI to remove a piercing, a pimple or a hairline on photo with woman. It's a total disaster. Please make video about it, maybe someone will finally do something!

Every time a new version of photoshop comes out I first watch your video and just go and find how to download it (jack sparrow) but with this version I'm not that much interested. it's not like that I can't use Gen AI with jack sparrow but if I have to use AI image editing and inpainting I would go with Stable Diffusion or FLUX instead of photoshop.
you're right there should be some manual not AI feature. some new existing tools and all but their not giving us those for this timeI think

Really appreciate the overview of new features. I agree there's nothing surprising or any major updates. And I so wish they listened to you and did better hair selection functionality - it's still very tedious task, especially if you have to deal with pet photos on a daily basis like I do. Color matching would also be great, here AI could actually help, I'm surprised Adobe still didn't release any tools to help with that.

Also, it's so true what you said..... The only true way to master Photoshop is understanding those core concepts of Photoshop. Once you get those, you will be able to create your own steps and Photoshop becomes a breeze. Because I've stuck with your teaching, I have entered that realm. Doesn't mean I stop learning. Learning continues until the last breath and that's the beauty and wonder of it. Thank you Unmesh!

I really think that generative fill is a good tool, but Photoshop still has random and weird results, mostly on human body parts, skin textures, eyes, etc. Comparing to others AI softwares and websites, Photoshop should be able to give much higher quality for a professional use.
Thank you for your video, you always make it so easy to use and understand

Informative as usual, but you definitely made me laugh with some of your remarks! It will still look bad...but sharper. lol I really wish they would update the Mixer Brush. I don't think they've touched that in 20 years. It needs to work more like a wet brush. Or, just add the capabilities to make a wet brush. And, real pigment mixing would be nice, too.

All these need at least another 2 years in the oven to even think of being passable for professional work without heavy pp input / modifications from creators. Right now these look like Canva level features. And Firefly is still laughably behind Midjourney.

The 3D implementation would be useful for me, but history of Adobe integrating 3D into their software is a long string of failures - not worth investing the time to master them only two have them pulled completely or transferred to a new paid separately product.

The 3D viewer seems useful but agree on generative AI stuff. So far it's mostly toys to play with and the same stuff every other tech company is doing atm. It'd be nice if Adobe actually focused on improving or fixing features they introduced in the past.

I just thought about the shocking eyeglasses gen example and thought what if you made selection with the new selection brush and left some transparency over the eyes Perhaps this will force AI to respect the talent's original features - worth a go

Adobe stopped totally on develop its flagship software. New features only rotate around generative AI. No truly useful new tool, function, addon or relevant update/QoL. And this will be the very same fate for the acquired Substance suite. Rip.

please make a video on how to purchase creative cloud softwares (a buying guide video) because if we want to use and explore this new ai features we need to switch from Captain Jack Sparrow to premium versions.. so unmesh plz guide us

Thanks for another fantastic video. As for #6 I find that it’s easier creating first the person alone (with no background) and on a separate layer underneath, do the lake...just a thought.

I love using this program but I had to stop due to the amount of monthly prices and it keeps going up the more they add. I rather have had a one and done thing but now it's just too insane
reply

You'd think AI could be used to make better complex selections by identifying objects in photos. Seems more useful to integrate AI in that way rather than to make up entirely new stuff.

Hello, you have really awesome videos! I would greatly appreciate it if you could create a video explaining the best recommended settings in Photoshop 2025 for Apple Silicon computers.

Definitely agree that it would be great to finally get hair selection right after so many years rather than just adding more AI variations. Thanks for all the amazing lessons!

11:34 ...Or really Adobe take us seriously and everybody working in VFX and Compositing finally being able to work with ALL THE TOOLS in 32 Bits. THAAAAT would be fantastic.
