Eyestrain is not caused just by a lot of white, it is also caused by trying to read black text on a black background. Who is the brainless moronic imbecile that came up with that as a valid design? Why is everyone demanding that everyone adapt it even when it prevents those of us with contrast issues, from being able to read the dag blasted content you claim you want us to read? For those that get eyestrain from the white background, I get it. BUUUUUUT DO NOT PREVENT ME FROM BEING ABLE TO SEE THE TEXT ON THE SCREEN SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU CAN'T HANDLE A WHITE BACKGROUND. THIS MUST BE A PER USER OPTION AT THE USER'S DISCRETION, AND NOT AT THE DISCRETION OF A BUNCH OF DELUSIONAL, EGOTISTICAL, OVERLY SENSITIVE NARCISSIST THAT CAN'T HANDLE THE SLIGHTEST SUGGESTION THAT THEIR DESIGN IS FLAWED!!! BLACK TEXT ON A DARK BACKGROUND IS PURE EVIL.

Yeah, after like... idk, 10 years, they decided to add their own dark theme. Stalling this shit for a few months would've been slow. They waited nearly a decade before they realized- OH SHIT! WE NEED A DARK THEME BUILD IN OUR PLATFORM! Yeah, like nobody has ever thaught of that. or cuz it's such an old subject, nobody remembers. I like to keep my eye-sight, thank you.

It does look very effective in Dark-Mode in my personal view useing a Brand-New HP - Laptop ,look's far smarter with just one little change that has been around for some time. Great Video and changed settings now to the dark-side and very impessive in the wee small hours Makeing Music on varuois Programs ....10/10 -Video ...WOW

This was a hell of a lot more helpful than any other video I've watched on the same topic. My boyfriend's youtube was already on the new one when he logged in, but mine wasn't. So it was helpful to figure out how I could upgrade to the next one in order to get to the dark mode setting. Thank you!

Finally Youtube is dark again - perfect for listening to long horror book readings and Creepy Pastas! Thanks for that tip, because non of these Dark Youtube Firefox Addons worked anymore and a pure white Youtube is just way to bright during nighttime in the dark room.

Man, I love the new YouTube look. But what I don't like is that you can't see the exact number of likes and dislikes (when they re a lot). PLEASE YOUTUBE I WANNA SEE THE EXACT NUMBER OF THE LIKES AND DISLIKES!!!!!!!

The New and Improved YouTube is SLOW AS HELL!! (All of their service seem slow these days.) I had to install an Firefox extension to make it usable again. I guess I need to use another extension to activate dark mode.

actually, it seems that they can give it to you randomly, I got access to it without being asked if I wanted it, it just looked like that without me doing anything or YT asking me if I wanted it

I already know how to because i've enabled it for 2 weeks but I restarted my laptop and i had to sign in again i did this a few times because my laptop is stuffed up but my dark mode button is gone?
