If you're going to follow a leg workout and try to build athletic muscle and power. but you're not incorporating any explosive leg exercises, then you're missing out on a huge opportunity. Lower body training by nature, needs to be explosive in order to deliver the kind of powerful legs most guys are after. There's a reason why almost every single professional athlete has a lower body that is unmatched vs the common male. It has to do with the style of leg workouts they follow. Every exercise is powerful, explosive, ground based, and challenging. Yet, because it's different from what most guys are currently doing. it's fun at the same time. Let AthLEAN-X creator, Men's Fitness magazine writer and former professional baseball physical therapist and strength coach Jeff Cavaliere show you how to build explosive legs in just minutes with this 4 exercise xtreme leg circuit workout. Then, when you're done watching. head to and see exactly how you can copy the same system to get an entire physique built on these principles of explosive muscle growth!

Hi Jeff, Great program. I only have dumbells, and have difficulty in doing these exercites with that (can't grab them as fast. Also I would like to know in which range the weight on that thing is. I have nothing to compare it to. I know you ask us to take the weight that makes us do the right number of repetitions, but it seemes strange to me that you go throught the whole circle of exercise before you actually get it right. So where abouts. Best wishes, Mikael from very cold Denmark

im not questioning just trying to understand, but if i were going to increase my explosive vertical should i work in the under 10 second mark so that i use the ATP-CP system which is prodominatly used for jumping, this would mostly use the anaerobic glycolisis system because of the intensity and durtion wouldnt it?
reply

should you do the workouts as fast as possible, like you're training plyo, or at the same pace as them? -
is it also a good idea to workout in cycles? i'm not too strong so i want some strength then explosiveness, so should i work out strength for 6-8 weeks then explosivness afterwards?

-Standup4314 Thank you, also I was wonder what is the best for core, I mean some people that don't seem too much bigger than me i touched them on there shoulder and I felt there strength from their whole body, do you know which workouts work best for that

Hi Jeff, If you haven't been working out at all for a year and a half, and you are basically starting from scratch but want to develop great strength and endurance in your legs and core what would you recommend be the best approach?
reply

I'm just looking for workouts that give me strength, not really into being buff right now, I want people to free my strength when they shake my hand, does anyone know any workouts that will help me achieve that. :\

as someone who used to do shit load of all kinds of jumps; I would avoid most of these unless you are competing in some kind of professional sports. But if you have to do them, do them without weights.

Should you do legs oriented weight lifting exercises like these before sprinting? I know sprinting is supposed to be done separately from other most obviously upper body weight lifting exercises. So confused.

What would you recommend for someone with duck feet? I cant keep my kneew and feet pointing straight so I have balance issues? should i just do stuff like this and learn to balance the way i am?
reply

great video. as I am from the UK, I play a lot of Football (soccer. these exercises really help me with my Balance and explosive power which is really important in football.
Thanks guys!
